Sharp HDMI connections Not working. Need Help

    I have a Sharp LC-46LE620UT LED TV.

All of the inputs work on the TV, Except the 4 hdmi connections.
ie: I get cable picture just fine with componet cables.

If I plug in HDMI cables, I get picture and sound for a few seconds and then the screen/picture flashes in and out with Blue and Purple and then goes black. Then the TV show comes in and out like that.

    I have changed out:
    1) Main Board (replaced)
    2) New HDMI cables
    3) Tried different HDMI devices, PS3, cable box, Fire stick

Not sure what else to do. Please help.

Re: Sharp HDMI connections Not working. Need Help

I have updated the firmware. I think it maybe a hardware issue. I am trying to repair this myself. SO I do not know, (but willing to learn), how the hdmi hardware is interconnected. I am Techncially Savy, just new to trying to fix my own LED TV.

Any help would be great. What else is connected to the main board that controls or uses the HDMI signal? All other inputs work. Just not HDMI.

        Thanks

HDMI port's are made into the M.B. if the other inputs and sound works ok, then I can conclude that you have a bad M.B.
Have you tested the HDMI ooutputs on another TV? Does the TV menu let you select the correct inputs to TV?

Could this not be some kind of HDMI Handshaking/HDCP issue?

Check all the settings for any HDMI settings and disable/change them. What are the odds of getting a replacement motherboard with the same HDMI issue?

last resort: from your TV menu try resetting your TV"s back to FACTORY. If that doesn't fix the problem post pictures of your main board or just replace your main board

Just a random thought, but maybe try an over the air antenna to see if that works. I think it uses some of the same processing as the HDMI being a digital signal.

Certain "Class 2" HDMI cables can be marginal at 4K 60 Hz
                    by japlytic
For some time, a "Class 2" HDMI cable (part number BN39-01583B) supplied with a Samsung 4K 60 Hz display sometimes causes the display to overlay a few horizontal lines of flickering pixels of random colours and sometimes drops out, particularly on content requring HDCP.
Since changing the cable to a thicker Class 2 unit, this problem has not occured again - do you know of other marginal "Class 2" HDMI cables supplied with displays?

Marantz SR4003 AVR HDMI board issue, seeking for help
                    by aliougm
I have problem with my AVR(Marantz SR4003) HDMI board issue. I connect to my TV but screen color distorted, see attached picture.

                    Connection as below:
                    Set-top box HDMI output >AVR 3 HDMI input/one HDMI output>HDTV HDMI port
If I bypassed AVR then HDTV screen color be good.

I take out HDMI board from AVR and check services manual the schematic shown the HDMI signals path:
                    3 HDMI input port > SIL9185 chip(HDMI switch) > SIL9033 chip(HDMI receiver) > SIL9030 chip(HDMI transmitter) > HDMI output port

                    I replaced all...

Sharp Aquos LC-70C6400U Half Screen Dark
                    by scubacamper
I found another post on this site the other day which has been very helpful in troubleshooting this issue I am having with my tv. The left half of the screen is dark, and the other half is VERY slow to generate it's image - and it only generates part of its image at that.
Based on this yt video, I have narrowed it down to an issue (short?) on the left side of the display, somewhere in the system of ribbon cables.
when I remove the bezel and the rear cover, I can get the image to display correctly by manipulating the ribbon cables on the left side which connects the left lower display...

                    by RossMoodley1967
LG LCD TV picture comes on intermittenly using hdmi port. The sound is on permantly. The hdmi ports looks fine and soldered in securely. The 3.4v coming to the main board is not present(not sure if will affect the hdmi port or where that voltage goes.)The hdmi cable is fine because it works on another tv.The ceramic caps connected to the hdmi controller ic is reading 39 ohms.Could the hdmi controller ic be faulty(feels very warm to touch). The RCA jacks work normally .Thank you in advance for your assistance..

ESD Diode on HDMI output of Yamaha a1050 RCVR
                    by budwich
I lost one of the two hdmi outputs on a yamaha rx-a1050 receiver. Of course, it is the hdmi1 which has the arc capability which was useful. The second output hdmi works OK.

I got an hdmi breakout board which gave me access to the "little guys" in the hdmi. I did some gross DC voltage measurements to ground and found that the Data1 pair (4 and 6) had a lower voltage than the working hdmi.... 1.1v versus 2.9. All others pins seem to be OK. Further when plugged into a display, there is no video but a message on the screen which I assume is the display's status for the...
