Re: Vizio M261VP Not Turning On

If you find any diodes that test off, maybe take m out of circuit and test again to make sure they are bad, guess they can also test good in circuit but still be bad, some folks clip one leg if theres enough room, test m, then just solder m back together if they test good.

Anyone know where to buy the U10 P/N: SM260F 10100DF1 MOSFET?
        Please advise, thanks.

Is SM260F 10100DF1 actually stamped on the mosfet itself?

Re: Vizio M261VP Not Turning On

That looks like Voltage regulator, pin 1 is connected to GND (Please verify), if it is MOSFET then the Gate is Grounded which will not be correct for it to be MOSFET.
What DCV do you have on pin 2 and 3?
The pins are labeled with GND, I, O.

Re: Vizio M261VP Not Turning On

                Hi budm,
Red probe on 0 and black probe on GND measures shorted.
Black probe on IN and red probe on GND (316), or 0 (316)
Neither GND nor 0 goes to ground.

                On U8 Transistor (540N 05S5C) 0 goes to ground.

OK, with closed up pictures I can see that the GND and the O pins are tied together. If I remember correctly now, this part is Diode, I have seen this same board some where in the threads, need to do some research on badcaps for "Vizio M261VP".
What is your TV not doing?

Re: Vizio M261VP Not Turning On

When Power is applied to the DC Jack, after 8 seconds or so the power LED starts to blink on and off for under 2 minutes then blinks stop all together. (pitch black screen during all this).
I've tested the LED stripe with a multimeter in diode mode and at least 3 LED SMD are dead and some are brighter than others.
