power flickerd today and now the set doesn't power. The red led isn't lighting and no relay clicking when i plug it in.I don't see any visual issues on the psu(B159-201). The set did this once before and after a few hours passed with power cord unplugged it worked again. I've read threw the forum and seen mention of the TCZAA6755U IC ref (U203) going bad. Anyone willing to walk a newbie threw some testing to attempt repair. Thanks in advance.

Re: panasonic tc-p42x5
check anything labeled F on your power supply board, F for fuse, with a digital multimeter, be careful working with powersupplys, HIGH VOLTAGE. a pic. with more detail would be good, my camera only has 5mp, I can't get a decent pic., must need 8 or more mp for good clear pics., I guess.Comment

Re: panasonic tc-p42x5
check fuses in diode mode, should read 000 or close to it, ol or no change of reading is probably bad fuse.Last edited by nomoresonys; 12-17-2014, 04:12 AM.Comment

Re: panasonic tc-p42x5
I'll post better pics of the board in a bit. Charging camera.
@nomoresonys...i only seen the one big white fuse and it meters fine. I'll double check for another fuse.
@tw2005 trying to rule out any other issues. All of the links i've found for the replacement part are locatedin the uk. Any thoughts on where i can get my hands on it state side.Comment

Re: panasonic tc-p42x5
maybe grab a manual, tom66 has his manual link stuck on his posts, and see if all your voltages at the connectors on your power supply are correct, some might require using the ac setting and some should be dc setting, maybe someone here has worked with this same model.Comment

Re: panasonic tc-p42x5
No programming necessary. Try reading the part # off the IC directly with a magnifying scope. Should be fairly cheap from digikey/eBay...Last edited by tom66; 12-17-2014, 03:35 PM.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Shouldn't matter. Probably a lead free termination style, not important for someone hand soldering. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: panasonic tc-p42x5
Pretty crook when a part is no longer available on a 2012 TV but dug this up. They have it listed with it's real number.
FAN6755UWM which would make it FAN6755UW , you should be able to get it from here.

Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

by AquaMan UaHello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...2 Photos

by stecosHi everyone!
I happened several times, in the search for help from the web, to consult this very interesting forum.
So I decided to sign up and I intend to participate actively by making available my knowledge and experience on the subject, I'm a new user but at the same time I'm old in the sense that I have 4 decades of experience in repairing and designing electronics but above all I'm a great passionate about the subject.
Having said that I come to the gist of my post on the forum as the title suggests.

by aa10aa10Good day,
I have tried to remove BIOS supervisor password from Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 mk1. Model number CF-33AENABTG, unfortunately I don't have any other info.
I read the BIOS using afuwin, edited it and tried to flash new edited BIOS using afuwin. Unsuccessfully. Afuwin showed "Error: Problem erasing flash." starting with 0x00040000 and stoped. Then I tried many other options to flash BIOS from Windows without any luck. Finally i rebooted the device - and no post. Afterwards I have read the corrupted bios chip (MX25L12873F) using EZP2010 programmer....-
