You will need to post more information. Have you looked at the boards for any bad caps or fuses? It sounds like the power supply is sensing a fault and shutting the system down. Can you take a picture of the back of the tv without the cover so that we can see the board layout?
Sounds like the mainboard can't detect a signal, to me. I dunno.

It looks to me like PSU and input board is combined and the digital main is a separate board as is the inverter board. So at least 3 different boards that could be bad.
Without pics and some basic info about what voltages you have on the PSU, It will be difficult to narrow down which one is faulty.
There are some video's on utube to help understand basic tests on PSU and the inverter board.
Warning!!!! There can be over 200v on the PSU and 400v or more on inverter when operating. I would advise to be very careful if/when testing.
Edit..budm has a few links in his signature that give good instructions on what to test.
Please look at your boards to see which one that matches the one on shopjimmy link I post in post #4 so I can see which exact boards you have in your TV.
This is the closest I've found. http://www.shopjimmy.com/emerson-syl...1-main-cba.htm
But it day's this.
LC320EM1 SN beginning with DS1 or DS5 LC320EM1F SN beginning with DS1 or DS2 or LC320SL1 SN beginning with DS2. Sticker number may vary.
And mine starts with. Rs1
Funai boards are...FUN? Sorry, bad joke. I have found that most of them as was posted before are mosfets ( black things with 3 legs ). Put your mutimeter on diode and check all the way around for short or open. Also Funais have solder issues. Resolder all the big diodes. Those are the 2 biggest issues and once in a while you will find a bad zener but hope that doesn't happen as they are harder to find. I also had a few mains go on them but not as much as the other things mentioned. Good luck.
I have another TV where someone else worked on it and left me a mess. So the Emerson LC320EM1f had missing parts. I can't find what diode goes in location D609. Looking at the schematic it seems it has no value anyway I can't find a value for it. Board number BA94F0F0102 6_A. I even have another board and I removed the diode from it but there is nothing printed on it. I need help please?
