Re: 0500-0507-0740 Vizio Power Supply Lights Flashing
Thanks for your help. Have determined to be BULBS!!! The ends are black and the silver has crept up onto the grey part of pretty much every bulb. Only runs about 10 minutes and becomes a disco flash. Appreciate the help. Get to sell the boards I guess. Old TV though. Probably never sell...ah well. Onto the next.

Re: 0500-0507-0740 Vizio Power Supply Lights Flashing
Thanks. I have done some more testing and noticed faint zap some wheres in the HOT side. Still trying to locate although appears to be in the capacitor area or close to it ( that area is enclosed and could have an echo ). I have a sister board that doesn't work at all and everything seems to test ok. So obviously I am missing something. The capacitor tests ok, resistors, diodes and the ceramic resistor is fine...AUGH.

0500-0507-0740 Vizio Power Supply Lights Flashing
TV model - Vizio G47LFHDTV10A
Issue - After about 10 minutes, back lights flicker. Power supply voltage on 24 will waiver at that point. Checked the caps on the inverters and replaced even though test fine. I soldered most of the main spots on the power supply ( unless I missed one some wheres ). Can't figure out why the lights will flicker after a bit and turn off. Any help would be appreciated. I didn't post pics as wasn't sure what you might need but happy if you need them. No burn spots noted and caps look and test fine. No bulging. Blue caps look new. Actually a new looking...

Re: Sharp OPC Codes Question - EASY!!
It was the main board. I was unable to determine why. There was only 2 caps SMD type and both tested fine so I guess the issue was somewhere in an IC? Thanks.

Re: Sharp OPC Codes Question - EASY!!
Thanks a bunch. I didn't have the 3 blink power code page. Sounds like a main board and will have to see if I can repair it. If not..I do have a back up main to use. Will add to this later. Thanks for posting these pages.

Re: Sharp OPC Codes Question - EASY!!
Well I know you guys like pictures but I had no idea what picture you would want? First thing I did was that I did get a new set of inverters as I know that's a common failure. Same result and yes they do look like the picture above. Communication error? Would that be with the main? I did order a new main and haven't tried yet as it just came in. I know these sets have bad bulbs also but didn't seem like a 3-1 code would come from bad bulbs. Hopefully the main will work and will post in 12 hours on that. The only other thing I could think of...

Sharp OPC Codes Question - EASY!!
I have a Sharp LC-C5255U and can't find error codes but found for a similar model like LC-52D64U. The OPC and Power light lights up at the same time and then the Power light will flash by itself another 2 times. Is this a 1-2 code or a 1-3 code? The 64U says it is a 10v failure for 1 opc and 2 power flash. I do not have a 1-3 code data if it is that. Symptoms is it tries to turn on 3 times and gives up with the code. No back and no pic. thanks. If you have codes or service manual..lmk. Tanya had nothing.

Re: Sanyo Dp46819 - White Screen
Yes. I tested all points on the TCON and they are all incremental. SO the TCON is OK. VGAMA 1 to 20? Started out at avolt then went up to like 14 or 15v. I was wondering if a chip or something can be changed on the Screen driver board?

Re: Sanyo Dp46819 - White Screen
I also tested all VG test points and all are incremently higher then the next.

Sanyo Dp46819 - White Screen
I know this has been covered in some areas but I wanted to know if it was possible to fix a screen which was white washed? The Tcon is functioning properly as is the main. I am 100% confident it is the screen. The image is there..just too white!!!! Thanks in advance.

Re: Zener DIODE HELP D6 - Element F0V87C
Please hold on this post for now. After more testing, there are more issues then just the diode. I can use this TV up to about a few minutes. It is starting to fail more often now. You can use the menu up to just before it shuts off. The menu will freeze and not respond. Then a few seconds later...it turns off until cool. There is no voltage other then the 5 volts when it cuts off. The diode which I am starting to think is ok after testing on the device I have. Does this sound like an EEPROM? It does work but not for long. I have changed...

I tested a 3.3v Zener next to my SO CALLED DIODE ( program confirms ) and they look close....

Think your right...4148 don't think will work. Testing..my old one goes to 1 volt on the test. Any ideas? If I missed a test..please explain.

Re: Zener DIODE HELP D6 - Element F0V87C
In reference to the anode and cathode while OFF there was identical or near identical readings ( straight across ) @.450 or so..can't remember number. While on I got similar results between the 2 sides measuring anode and cathode.

Re: Zener DIODE HELP D6 - Element F0V87C
I didn't use the cool spray. I just watched the difference netween the 2 sides to ground and was 23volts anode and 23.5 Cathode in reference to chasis ground.
