Hello Group,
My TV is just over 2 years old and for the last 3-4 months its been hard to get turned on, progressively getting worse. It has the orange colored Vizio emblem on the front when not turned on which is correct. When it is turned on all that shows on the screen is the big V on the start up screen. About 1 out of 10 it will come on correctly after a few seconds of the V screen and work perfectly for however long its on, but its becoming more infrequent. Also, it wont turn off without the power being disconnected. We have begun just unplugging it back and forth until it works properly and leaving it off when not in use.
I have removed the backing and can take pictures this evening and add them if needed. To the untrained eye everything appears normal to me but I know nothing about what I'm looking at. I looked for rounded or bulging resistors and saw none. The one fuse that I found (250v) is not clear, it is a milky color but this could be normal for all I know. Does anyone know what the likely cause could be?
Thanks!
