Vizio GV 47L FHDTV10A picture rolls

My Vizio GV 47L FHDTV10A in HDMI mode, displays two pictures overlapping, one rolls top to bottom, one stationary. When it started, it would roll once every 2-3 seconds and now does it constantly. If I change the input to AV or Componet and press menu on the Vizio remote, the menu displays properly. If I change the input to HDMI and press menu on the Vizio remote the menu also appears as two pictures as mentioned above. Is this caused by the
    T-con board?

    Thanks

I'm gonna say its somethig related to the hdmi input or the processor in the main board. I don't think it has anything to do with the t con especially if the menu appears correct. The main board is sending a messed up signal to the t con.

Sounds like your HDMI controller is going out and unfortunately the only solution is to change the mainboard.

Try using the Componate or Composite signals and see if you get the same affliction.

Also try using 720p 480p and 1080i resolutions with HDMI, I have this same unit and I was having image issues with HDMI and 1080p when I selected other AV inputs the picture was fine, also when I selected anything other then 1080p the picture was also fine.

These units are know for bad HDMI controllers on the mainboard and hot swapping HDMI cords can damage them.

Voltage regulators deliver the right voltages? These components, tend to fail on Vizio mainboards.

              Shinju,
I did as you suggested, switched hdmi to 720p, that works much better. It still has problems, but as least it's viewable.
              Thanks for the help.

I have seen double pictures as shown in pic 2 & 3 on post #3 causing by bad tab bonding.

The on screen user setup menu? It will be strange to have that symptom then.

If you got artifacts then its the Digital processor Either way its going to be a mainboard replacement. Unfortunelty the mainboards for these are not cheap 100-180 for a used one and you have to match the exact part numbers too.

If you have the RCA's try the Analog.
