    Help identifying fuse

So just picked up this lnt3242h and it powers on but no backlight and no picture. I have 24v going to the inverter. I checked the fuses on the inverter and the F3 fuse has 24v coming from power supply and .413v on the other side. How do I know what kind of fuse to get. It's the little one with the D on it.

From some of the data sheets I've seen its a fast acting .25 amp 63volt

Too bad there is no standard as far as the letter as printed on the fuse which suppose to represent the current rating.
You can put your meter in DCA mode and to take the current draw reading but I would check the the resistance on the output side of the fuse to see if it shows really low resistance first.

Ok cool thanks. Yea trackin. Down parts by the numbers and especially fuses like these are almost as hard as troubleshooting the tv. Lol

So I found a good link to mousers website on help identifying fuses and it shows you how to identify them just like mine. Apparently this is the part number according to mouser. 2410SFV0.75FM/125

Another question. I have another tv with a similar looking component but the spot on the board is labeled like j220 or j19. Are these things the same or would it have to specifically have to come from a fused location

Nvm they have a O on them not a D. Hard to see.

Those with the 0 are jumpers or 0 ohm resistors

                    Re: Help identifying fuse

So I just got the fuse in. And it looks the same style and has the D on it but it's much larger. Now on te pad it has mini pads for the small size fuse but the bigger pads on both sides for a bigger one I suppose. It looks like I can solder this new one to the bigger pads but is that ok or do I need to order the exact same fuse. Take a look at the pict. The bigger fuse next to the smaller one

If you can get it soldered in then it will be fine as long as it is the correct rating. Just because it is a surface mount doesn't mean you must replace it with a surface mount, if you have an equivalent fuse with leads it might be easier to solder that in.

And that's the thing I don't know what size the origonal one was. So it's real hard to fine the rating of the fuse. The one I have now is size 2410. I thing the origonal one is like a 0603. Cause when I looked it up on mousers website that was the only rating for the fuse with the letter D in that size so I don't know if it changes when they change sizes

Can anyone find a wiring schematic that might say the info for the F3 fuse on the inverter.

littlefuse makes a greenish one like these with indented ends
                                  there D vmarking is 1/4amp

                                  0603 is around 1.6mm x .8mm
                                  1206 is just over 3mm x 1.5mm

www.servicemanuals.net says they have a service manual for that unit but it'll cost you $16.99 to download it.
