only junk thing is it can only do 1080i not 1080p and from what i hear, 1080i is not good for gaming?

We only bypass the MOSFET for powering the 12V to the T-CON, it does not affect the standby functions which is controlled by the processor.
I am not sure about 1080i/P problem.

ok yeah after using the TV for a while i notice it will go into standby after a while of not receiving any input (i swear sometimes it doesnt though)
also the 1080p seems to work now...i think it was just my graphics card.
the xbox 360 playing GTA5 on 1080p looks great .... not sure if its true 1080p tho cuz i heard most games are atually 720p upscaled or something...
so i think i have just one more question before i end this thread:

how much power am i wasting, and is there any risk to the TCON board for leaving it in standby still powered with 12v when it should be 0 ?

T-con uses about 2A, so it will be about 24W, but since you will turn the TV off anyway, then that will not matter unless you plan to leave the TV in STBY mode, I myself always turn off the TV when not in use.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                    by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Vizio D32f-E1 Powers on, has backlight, won't boot/no logo, no menu or video
                    by JaquesPratt
I have a Vizio D32f-E1 LCD TV that does NOT have a TCON board.

This TV recently went through some 'death throes' and now won't boot. The first problem that began to manifest was while watching tv, the screen would 'freeze', and the image would dim over a few seconds until it was very dark. HOWEVER, the audio of the show would continue as normal. I could power off the TV for 5-20 seconds, power back on, and the video would be normal. This would occur 1-3 times when the TV was first started, and would not happen again after the TV was 'warmed up'. Not ideal, but this glitch was manageable....

Vizio E320-A1 Powers on But No Display
                    by npolite
                    Hi All,

I have a Vizio E320-A1 which lost sound and picture. The power LED comes on and stays on but nothing else works. I am not able to power it off unless I unplug it.

Here are the voltages when the power is on

                    1 - 5.25
                    2 - 5.25
                    3 - 0
                    4 - 4.8
                    5 - 25
                    6 - 25
                    7 - 0
                    8 - 0
                    9 - 0
                    10 - 12
                    11 - 12
                    12 - .9
                    13 - .5

Can someone let me know if the issue is with the mainboard?

                    Thanks...

Vizio M60-C3 powers on, perfect logo, turns off
                    by ossroy
Vizio M60-C3 powers on, perfect logo, turns off. If you don't touch anything it will repeat this process by itself until it is unplugged. Not the "button board" since I disconnected the cables to the main board and the problem persisted. So I'm fairly positive something is going on with the main board, but want to know if there is a fix for this other than replacing the expensive mainboard, which may eventually have the same problem. Also, heat sink was hot as hell when this all started. Unplugged for a few days and same thing happens.
