    using slides 27 and 28

    DMM = ohms 20M

    SU41 pin 2 to ground = 1.4 ohms

    SD42 pin 9 to ground = 0.2 ohms

      Oh, yeah definitely short cct but for a sanity check set meter to diode or continuity and confirm continuous beep indicating short cct

        yeah SU has continuity but the SD dont, thinking this is going to me uneconomical to repair

          If those readings are in meg-ohms then it could be ok?

          Im going through a similar process on another model(s10a) with same 42 panel as this so alot will be similar.

          My pins varied from printed guides for other models so check your manuals for your models pins to be sure VSCN-F etc are on the pins they should be.

          Long story short, at SU41:
          VSCN-F 220k ohms is near enough to normal according to the manuals I have - IF that was the 0.2 in meg ohms you read at SU41? and vfo was 1.5m?

          Expected approx readings(from 2010_FHD_Plasma_TV_G25_Series_Troubleshooting_Handbook.pdf):
          VFO 2.2m
          VSCN-F 221k
          5V_F 5.7m
          and from another guide:
          VFO 1.9m
          VSCN-F 220k
          5V_F 6.3m

          Vfo was more interesting.
          With Black to VF_GND and Red to VSCN-F measuring point i get 6.2-7.5mohm on 20m resistance scale and no contunuity on diode check or continuity beep settings.
          With Red to VF_GND and black to test point i get no reading on any resistance scale(not oL, just open). However with meter set to diode test i do get a reading of 1.0x - on continuity beep setting i get nothing.

          The schematics i have for my s10a chassis are missing the SC/SU boards so have to assume with the leads switched the path taken by the supplied current from the dmm is passing through a diode or transistor etc or both, and the positive diode reading is possibly a good sign. As i mentioned on continuity beep setting- i get nothing.
          Some patience was needed on measuring the m-ohm readings as they took a while to get a stable number too.
          All taken with SC board removed and SU SD ribbon disconnected etc.

          I'm not 100% sure what all this means yet but I was fairly confident before reading this that my su/sd boards are ok after checking the various isolation procedures, despite some of the numbers being a bit off the guide they are stil in the mohm range and far from dead shorted.
          Also i'm still testing for certainty and wouldn't say i was 100% sure of anything at this stage. If i had my tv working after all this i might be more certain but it will be a couple of weeks before i finish diddling with the sc board and replacement parts etc and find out. fwiw i have not posted yet about my issues but plan to start a thread sometime with my notes on journeys with similar problems but they are looking to be the same as folks in this thread:

          https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...t=27921&page=1

          Your situation may be different but these panels do seem to be tossing out similar SC issues on various models from the searching ive done lately and i noticed your numbers look suspiciously close to the expected values from the pana guide if they were taken on 20m range. *or in tw2005's post # 58 in this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...t=26322&page=3

          Goodluck, hope this helps and sorry if it wasted your time :-)

            hi sorry for the long delay after discovering i might have a bad buffer as well i put this on the back burner hoping i could get a donor still not found one so going to have a bash if you all agree this possibly could be repaid in the light of what DoubleDratt88 said about the buffer possibly being ok

                      I was thinking U10B & S11B but you'd have to check if these were UK market. Would not it be just as easy if you just looked up the model in question and track down the manual to find the SC part number to work it out or search the model in FlatTV parts and see what boards come up?

                            Post 16 has some part numbers. what can't you work out?

                            There's a couple of guys who had some success, including one repair shop in that post. Maybe send them a PM and they may have some tips especially the repair guy as he may be able to assist with the parts .

                                You have the service manual for the parts list?

                                D16622 B0FBCN000006 = RF2001TM3SW, by ROHM. Same as D621, check that marking.

                                Q16401 2PG0110000RP = 2PG011, by Panasonic, Same as Q402 if you have that one still fitted.

                                  just found all the boards for Β£63 to my door, the parts just for SC were 25 +

                                  so when everything arrives i can compare buffers to confirm if mine are bad and send back what i dont need

                                      This TV is jinxed it seems.

                                          maybe not. I made suggestion in post 13, you came back and confirmed PSU was ok.

                                          I guess I took that as you had also tried the PSU/A board only.

                                          Other reason suggesting this was to be sure nothing else was going to bite you on the bum.

                                            Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing hereπŸ€”?

                                            Hello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...

                                            Good day,

                                            I have tried to remove BIOS supervisor password from Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 mk1. Model number CF-33AENABTG, unfortunately I don't have any other info.

                                            I read the BIOS using afuwin, edited it and tried to flash new edited BIOS using afuwin. Unsuccessfully. Afuwin showed "Error: Problem erasing flash." starting with 0x00040000 and stoped. Then I tried many other options to flash BIOS from Windows without any luck. Finally i rebooted the device - and no post. Afterwards I have read the corrupted bios chip (MX25L12873F) using EZP2010 programmer....
