        Ok so a little update and thanks to all you guys for all your help but I did indeed fix this one. I replaced the psu and it fired right up. I did bother replacing those 3 main filter caps on the working one even though they look fine, Figured it couldn't hurt. Also found the picture of the original capacitor explosion on the broken psu so you can enjoy that. Thanks for all the help guys on this tv.

          Glad to hear it, a guess on the problem with the original powerboard is maybe a bad backlight driver IC.
