    Sanyo ce32ld08dv-b lcd

I have a sanyo ce32ld08dv-b lcd with a samsung lta320ap06 panel. there seems to be no t con on this there is a ribbon cable between the main board and top of the panel.

the picture starts with horizontal lines accross all but the top inch, and beelds out to more and more white. if powered off and on agan it starts again.

it has a vestel 17pw26-4 psu and a vestel 17mb45m-3 main baord.

i suspect the panel, any chance it could it be the main board?

    Re: Sanyo ce32ld08dv-b lcd

I would suggest panel, a ton of these newer vestels dying with panel faults. SAMSUNG panel but not made by Samsung, just subcontract by Vestel (I think the glass is made in Korea/China but they tab bond and assemble in Turkey.) I do happen to have a known good main board for this set (well from a "Toshiba" but part # the same) if you'd like to try it but I doubt it would fix the issue.

I know someone on this forum who was trying to debug a similar problem on a D4000 Samsung which also turned out to be panel issue, traced it down to some components on panel board but never fix it, I suspect the panel fried because it was in fault state too long.

i took the bezel off and tried pushing on the ribbons, nothing makes any difference.
has exactly 12v on the fuse. it looks like some some sort of componet failure on this board.

Try heating/freeze spraying on parts of panel board..

The t-con board must be suspected first. Is the power incoming voltage right (well-regulated)?. Caps on this board? Verify the the tap bonds..

Always the panel? Never figured out if it was something on T-con?

The tcon is built into the motherboard, and I have loads of the boards on hand it is always the panel.

This tv isn't built by Sanyo its built by vestel which is basically a junk tv company that makes tvs for oems who dont want to build the tvs them selves so they can make more profit. Sanyos actual tvs that they make are good and well built shame that the get a cheap oem like vestel to build there tvs.

Vestel produce some of the worst TVs out there and names like Toshiba, Sharp, JVC, Sanyo and Hitachi all rebadge Vestel sets. Disgraceful in my opinion -- but what can you do?

Normally by the model number and sticker on the back.

Usually you can tell by the input plate - modern "fat" Vestel sets only use one of two types and the "thin" ones only have one type of input plate.

Is it possible to upgrade from a Vestel 17MB97 main board to a 17MB110 Main board?
                                        by cheeky2
I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection...

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
                                        by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

LG 49UJ6500 LCD panel lighter band that goes away
                                        by howardc64
49UJ6500 LCD panel has a lighter band on top when first powered on. Goes away (or gets much fainter) after TV on for a few min. After powered off for awhile and power back on, same band appears. If powered on immediately after powering off, no or much fainter band. Running the latest firmware.

Disassembled the TV and lifted the LCD panel during testing. Band is on the LCD panel (can see the band on the panel as I lift it slightly) Backlight is perfectly even at the top edge. Double checked LCD panel alignment in the frame and is perfect but since band moved with the panel, its on...

                                        Vestel VES550QNUS-2D Panel issue.
                                        by stav242
i just spent quite a few hours trying almost everything i could find out to check why this panel wasnt working.

MB was detecting a fault and going into fault mode.
i could se the AVDD go high for a second then drop to off.
check all CAPs and diodes on bottom buffer boards.

in the end i gave up and removed the panel, only to find burnt tracks on the cof tab..

i learnt a lot in the process, but wont go doing all those checks first next time.

so word of advice... if your panel is suspect, save youself a few hours and check...

Last Sunday I was watching a dvd and fell asleep for about half hour, when I awoke the tv screen was black and couldn't get the dvd menu to show, so I changed the input to antenna and had sound but no picture, turned it off.
