No TNPA number? It's written next to ORDER NO. It's possible you'll have to flip the board upside down to read off the TNPA number; Panasonic sometimes print it there for some reason.

Yeah i got the seven blinks then i disconnected the sc2 and sc20 and then the green light flashed for about 3 secs then the light stayed green so it means the SC Board is gone?

Your diagnosis would appear to be correct. Meanwhile, I believe your part is TNPA4410. Please confirm.

You can get it cheap from here:-

But I prefer to order from these guys, their returns policy is good, for an extra fiver. I had a dud part from them before, and they let me keep it and sent me a new one (which worked.) Can't fault that:-

Is the fault code the same? All connections OK?

Is that with the buffer boards in place?

If you go back to the isolated SC does it power on normally?
It is possible you got a defective board, though I could not be sure.

Did you make a connection change with the set powered up?

The only way I can see such a bang happening was if connections were changed while the set was still turned on, i.e. plugged into AC?

So, the TV -was- powered up and you connected the buffer while it was powered up?

I disconnected it all like it said on the guide then it didn't get the 7 blinks so i reconnected the SD board and then it went bang the TV powered down so i unplugged it checked it then plugged it back in and got 7 lights

Yes that is what I am getting at. Damage like that can occur when you disconnect and reconnect stuff while live. All connection changes must be made with power off. But since you have still got distorted image on the top it might just be a case of replacing that damaged buffer.
