Hi, I have this Sony Bravia kdl-40w5810, When powered on a red light flashes 14 times then a pause then keeps repeating this process, I found a post saying it ment it was a faulty T-Con so i replaced it with one i bought online but still i have the same problem, Anyone know what the fault could be??

Is the T-CON getting the 12VDC at the SMD fuse on the T-CON board?

Post good clear picture of the T-CON board, especially around he connector that goes to the main board, there will be small SMD fuse close by. You do have digital meter, right?

OK, make sure the mount the board in place without the cover for now, there is F1 (WHITE) fuse on the left side by the small white connector.
Turn the TV ON, then set meter to DCV, Black probe on the metal chassis, red probe on each end of the fuse at a time, you should see around 12vdc on either end of the fuse with ref. to the chassis ground.

It's showing as 1.15dcv.... I tested the meter on a dc12v adapter and it read 11.8 so the meter seems to be working fine..

Well, that is one of the problem. if you trace out that end of the fuse to the other board that the wires go to, then you can see what yo have at the connector on the other board.
Can we see the pictures of the whole back side of the TV so we can see how they are connected? The power may have come from the connector on the right side of the board, I can see one big power trace there.
LCD panel number? So we can look up the spec sheet and the pinout of this T-CON board.

As the Elitebooks (820, 840 all gens) only show flashing Power LED and flashing CapsLock (continuously) + a very soft "ticking" noise near the DC Jack,
I wonder if re-flashing the BIOS might be of any use here.

As far as I understood, steady flashing either means insufficient power or a CPU/GPU/Motherboard issue. I use the original 65watt power supply.

There are so many threads out there, but most of the solutions involve flashing codes, which I dont have or claim that you MUST use the original power supply, do a hard reset, reseat the RAM, clean the RAM,...

                              Hello everyone.

This is my development machine. I've been using it since two years and half without any problem except sometimes it wouldn't wake up from sleep.
Lately the issue became more frequent and powering it up would take few seconds to show the POST screen.
Then the computer refuses to power on at all. Now only the caps lock button flashes 7 times then stops. The charging light is always on whenever a power source is connected (battery or charger).
I tried long pressing on the power button, after several seconds it would go off then when the button is released...

Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...

This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...
