Sharp LC-39LD145K No Power to LEDs
Hi all, Been a while since ive had to use this forum,
I have here a Sharp LC-39LD145K that works fine apart from no power to the backlight LEDs, I have stripped it right down and tested all LEDs and they all work fine, I can see them flash briefly for a split second when powered up, the voltage to them slowly drops away after the flash so im guessing there is an issue with the power board,
I think the model number on that is 17IPS20 and here is some pics of it
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks...

Re: Hitachi L26DG07U
Ok, got new Power board and now the set powers up but there is a slight high pitched squeal fro the board and it goes back to standby about 5 seconds after powering on,
Would i be right in thinking that is possibly bad caps?

Re: Samsung le40r88bd Clicking, All caps tested ok
Ok TV back once again, Thin time EEPROM reset isnt fixing it, Ive also now replaced EEPROM along with all possible caps and its still clicking, Someone suggest forcing PSU on using a resistor then letting it run with backlight connected to see if it clicks, I just need to know which type of resistor do i need to buy to force it on, Dont mind buying a board just not sure which one is causing it,

Hitachi L26DG07U
Hello all, I have here a tv a friend gave me, It stopped working for him, No power at all, I had a quick look and AC side seems fine but the DC side is unlabled so I'm not sure which wires to test,
Does anyone know how i would go about fixing this problem,
I've included a few pics so hope that helps,...

Re: Lg 37lc46-zc
Just came home for lunch and tried that cap in the tv and it fired up, Guess it was backlight then... I did honestly try a good bright led torch and couldn't see any image even when pressing menu button and a few others,
Thanks for the help mate.. ;-)

Cant hear any sound but cant be sure its on correct input as no display, Also no its not a backlight issue, Ive already tried that and i can not see any signs of the display showing image,
I will add some pics later this evening when i get home,

Hi, I have here a 37 inch LG tv, The red stanby LED comes on when set is plugged in and it turns green when i try power it on but i get no picture or backlight, Seems as though the TV is still functioning just no display or backlight is being produced.
Is this a common problem on these sets and is it an easy fix?
Thanks in advance for any help,

Re: LE40R87BD, Still Turns on but Clicks off then back on a lot, Capacitors tested an
I bought ebay item number 281089568834, It consisted of 6x 1000uf 25v caps which i have soldered in and a new EEPROM also fittied properly, The kit had 2x 2200uf 16v caps which i could not find a place for so still have these, I have also tried before this EEPROM Reset and also replaced the 2x 1000uf smd caps under the heat shield beside the processor,...

Just a random one it seems, Stayed on the whole time we were watching it last night then when i woke today it was clicking, Left in off about 2 hours so it had well cooled down then i tried it again and it only stayed on a few mins then clicking again.... I wanna kick it at this point, My luck that would fix it... ;-)

Just set all service menu settings the same as this
https://www.avforums.com/attachments/le40r8788bdx-txt.206382/
But still the set clicks off then back on,
Tried a suggestion from another user when i had a similar problem a while back which was to disable watchdog in the service menu, Tried this and again no luck, Starting to give up now on this set, Everything that could cause it has been changed has it not?Re: LE40R87BD, Still Turns on but Clicks
