Post good clear picture of the T-CON board, especially around he connector that goes to the main board, there will be small SMD fuse close by. You do have digital meter, right?Never stop learning

OK, make sure the mount the board in place without the cover for now, there is F1 (WHITE) fuse on the left side by the small white connector.
Turn the TV ON, then set meter to DCV, Black probe on the metal chassis, red probe on each end of the fuse at a time, you should see around 12vdc on either end of the fuse with ref. to the chassis ground.Never stop learning

Re: KDL-40W5810 flashing red 14 times
Well, that is one of the problem. if you trace out that end of the fuse to the other board that the wires go to, then you can see what yo have at the connector on the other board.
Can we see the pictures of the whole back side of the TV so we can see how they are connected? The power may have come from the connector on the right side of the board, I can see one big power trace there.
LCD panel number? So we can look up the spec sheet and the pinout of this T-CON board.Last edited by budm; 11-06-2013, 03:05 PM.Never stop learning

Re: KDL-40W5810 flashing red 14 times
Hope these help.. These are all the cables that were in the tv when i got it but i get loads of them and sometimes they have been opened and had boards missing, Shouldnt there be a cable goin from the white connector on the t-con labled CON3 to the power board where its labled CN6151 or does the T-con get power from the cable coming from the main board, Again sorry if these are dumb questions, Still learning.. :-)
