What was the fix for this? I am having this exact issue and the fix was never posted. I am having these EXACT same issues with a Sharp LC-70LE374U. If I hold the vol+ and channel- when I start the tv, the tv works great.

Dont know where to start tv won't power up at all. Tried reset with the input and volume down holding and pluged tv back in. No luck, anyone know anything about where to start to test to find the problem. I hate to open this beast up unless I really have to. The power light is white and flashing steady. When you power up on the remote it stays on steady. The screen is still blank, anyone have any idea's. The service manuel doen't tell you anything it just tells you how to take it apart and the layout of all the boards that interface with each other.

I have sharp LC-80LE632U tv I have no picture at all. was watching and the screen went blank. I tried a factory reset and flash light to see if the screen was on but it wasn't. I not sure if the back light is bad. The service manuel they show the componet positions and interconnections. The light is white and steady flashing when you turn the power on with the remote it goes out like power came on but the screen is still blank. Is there anything else I can do before I open this beast up. I would much appreciate any type of input.

    Thank You.

Your TV is a completely different ballgame the 80 inch uses LEDs that are backlit your TV uses edge lit so if you have one LED go out in your string you're going to have an array of LEDs in that same area go out causing a black patch.

"Do you know if the burnt out LEDs could cause this problem and are they replaceable?" Yes, the LED driver will go into protection shutdown mode.

by the way nothing lights up on the screen upon powering it up it immediately goes in the lamp error flash sequence
I am a little to the game here and not sure if you'll get my message. Perhaps it will send it to your email. I've got a Sharp Aquos LC-60LE640U and I have the one and one flash. I replaced the power supply/inverter board, but it didn't fix it. I did try to do the reset and the light stayed on for about 5 seconds and went out. Then I tried what you said, to press the volume up, channel down and it does bring the screen up and is operating. Once you pull the power, it won't come on. I noted that before the set went out a few weeks ago, the lower part of the screen appeared to be missing some of the LEDs. There was dark patch at the corner on the bottom. I read through the blogs and if I understand what you're saying, an imbalance in voltage can cause the power supply to shutdown? Do you know if the burnt out LEDs could cause this problem and are they replaceable?

Good Evening! I did not want to hijack a thread but seems I can not post a new one and my issue is kind of the same as the original post. I have a Sharp LC-52LE830U. It turns on but throws the lamp error. The TV when powered on will come on for about 2 seconds then shut off. After resetting the lamp the TV will turn on but the backlights go off after the 2 seconds but the screen stays on. I can turn all the lights off in the room and shine a flashlight on the screen and see the screen and service menu and all just no backlight. I replaced the backlight inverter board and still have the same issue. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hi. So, the TV finally came on and I was able to access the factory menu. Service model. By keying menu 3481 on the remote one after another. Not holding menu while keying the numbers as the manual seems to suggest. Problem is, there is no lamp error reset option anywhere in the factory menus. Should I just restore back to Factory a Reset?

Thanks for helping. While not for my TV that PDF offered something. The only service mode code that did anything was for the CSM. It turned the red front LED green. But alas, since I have no image even if I was in a service mode I can't see anything to find and reset the codes. I fear this is a lost cause. Which is frustrating as for a while on cold mornings the TV started. Then, now armed with what appear to be the correct codes, I would be able to access and reset. So, what I need now is a way to bring the screen back to life. It stubbornly remains black. The back lights all work but no input image, no blue screen. I miss the blue screen.

Hmmm... A small sign of life. The service manual says to enter service mode you hold menu and key in 3481. I assumed all on the remote. But menu button on the TV and numbers on the remote turned the red led to green so I think maybe it did enter service mode. But without an image on the screen there's not a lot I can do with it. Hopefully a cold start will work to light up the screen in the morning and then I'll enter service mode. Again hopefully.

Hi. Was that for my 32" Sharp? I did try it as it's yet another suggestion as to how to get into service mode. Alas it did not work. The red LED on the front is unmoved and TV appears to not recognize any remote command. The led will turn green if I use the power button on the TV. Remote batteries are fine. When, on the rare cold occasion the TV works it recognizes the remote and all inputs and instructions. Vexing issue really. Just need to reset those lamp error codes or jump the component on the led board if you happen to know which it is. Thanks.

    Sharp LC-60LE810UN Lamp Error
    by Yanleb
    Hi all,

I have this Sharp LC-60LE810UN that stays off and blinks a Lamp Error (1 long flash followed by a short flash, in a loop).

I already confirmed that the first backlight strip has an open LED using a LED strip tester. The other 3 LED strips are fine.

Before tearing the LCD panel apart, I want to make sure that the rest of the TV set is good. I've tested the power-supply/LED inverter board by sending 5 volt to PS-ON, to PNL-POW (that commands power the T-CON board only), OFL and STB pins. The power-supply is good.

    I've tried all the key...

Sharp Aquos LC-70C6400U Half Screen Dark
    by scubacamper
I found another post on this site the other day which has been very helpful in troubleshooting this issue I am having with my tv. The left half of the screen is dark, and the other half is VERY slow to generate it's image - and it only generates part of its image at that.
Based on this yt video, I have narrowed it down to an issue (short?) on the left side of the display, somewhere in the system of ribbon cables.
when I remove the bezel and the rear cover, I can get the image to display correctly by manipulating the ribbon cables on the left side which connects the left lower display...

    Sharp LC-60LE810UN Lamp error
    by Eric D.
    Hello everyone!
I just acquired a Sharp Aquos for free.
When I plug it in, it will try to power on, but it fails.
The "error code" is 1 long flash, then 1 short flash, which suggests it is a lamp error code, according to the manuals.
    I did a bit of research and did what I found could be the possible issues;
I removed the back panel, checked for continuity on both fuses where the power cable connects, and I get somewhere around 0.05. That should be good.
I also tested the leads going into the psu board from the wall connector; I get 120V.
    I disconnected...
