okay guys it's working now I don't know how or why but as soon as I did a series of tests I tried another key combination back on the keyboard this time I used volume up and channel down well plugging in the TV at the same time and long and behold beautiful picture came up. Obviously volume up and channel down reset the main board to factory specs. I didn't look to see how many error counts are in there but it works!

now here's the kicker as soon as you unplug to TV plug it back in it's back to the one fast flash one slow flash lamp error. But if you do the vol up channel down its back in action and powers up and off with no problem.

I did notice OFL pin is 3.3v constantly now when on.

That is Stand by pin, same as PS_ON. 3.3v = ON, 0V = off.

There is a pin labeled STB. 0v on the pin until lamps come on. Tjen jumps to 3.3v. As soon as lamps go back out it goes back to 0v

SDA pin is brightness control data signal
SCL pis is brightness control clock signal
I tried a series of jumpers jumping 3.3 volts from panel power to error and still shut down then I tried panel powers 3.3 volts to OFL pin. Same result

Well error pin stays at 0 the whole process. However OFL is on the duration of powerup and as soon as the leds come up its voltage dies off.

PS_ON dies off after led shutdown

oh okay I get it okay so service state is when I get the panel lite up and shut downas soon as I get home I'll check it out report

I thought you press buttons and got panel to light up briefly right? That's what I mean by service state.
RS232 can be connected to PC, using settings in user manual. It might output some useful information.

yes it does have an rs232 port. what do you mean when you say monitor it in service state. and what do I do with the RS 232 port?

Does the main board have an RS232 port on it perhaps?
Monitor ERROR as set powers on.
If ERROR does not change state from standby to power on, it's probably NOT a lamp error.
Then monitor BLON, in the service state. When backlight goes off, does BLON die immediately, or afterwards?

Nothing on the pinout is defined as lamp_error. Just error. I tried removing the pin from the loom and also tried shorting the pin to ground using a 150 ohm resistor. same fault. I have researched the net and found someone who had the same fault on a.70 inch version and he replaced the inverter/power supply to restore the backliight issue cause he had no backlights at all with any key combination he tried. Then had the same problem im at. Then he replaced the mainboard and bingo worked great

When I put the old board back in, it worked fine but no HDMI's. I wound up pulling the EEPROM from the old board and putting in on the new board. Now everything works but the WI-FI, which did work on the old board. I haven't figured that one out yet. Ethernet does work however.

Ugh, well it's probably a semi custom Sharp IC without a datasheet.
Check LAMP ERROR what does it do? Go high, low, what? After this, BL ON/OFF (or similar) changes too?

Btw I used a 150 ohm from error pin to ground. Same issue.

Yeah through a 100 ohm resistor to limit current though.

Got a pic, ill upload it. What would I short lamp error signal to on the wire loom to the mainboard. Ground possibly?

Pin22 on cable is just stated error. Thats it is this lamp error possibly?

    Sharp LC-60LE810UN Lamp Error
    by Yanleb
    Hi all,

I have this Sharp LC-60LE810UN that stays off and blinks a Lamp Error (1 long flash followed by a short flash, in a loop).

I already confirmed that the first backlight strip has an open LED using a LED strip tester. The other 3 LED strips are fine.

Before tearing the LCD panel apart, I want to make sure that the rest of the TV set is good. I've tested the power-supply/LED inverter board by sending 5 volt to PS-ON, to PNL-POW (that commands power the T-CON board only), OFL and STB pins. The power-supply is good.

    I've tried all the key...

Sharp Hisense - LC-65N7004U Error codes
    by michalk3777@gmail.com
Hello, looking for a list of error codes for this TV. made in 2020, its manufactured by Hisense under Sharp brand. No clicks, black screen, no sound, power light is on solid. When I press power, it blinks 5 normal blinks and 1 short. and nothing happens.
Anybody has a list of error codes that might apply to this TV? I have not opened it yet.

Sharp Aquos LC-70C6400U Half Screen Dark
    by scubacamper
I found another post on this site the other day which has been very helpful in troubleshooting this issue I am having with my tv. The left half of the screen is dark, and the other half is VERY slow to generate it's image - and it only generates part of its image at that.
Based on this yt video, I have narrowed it down to an issue (short?) on the left side of the display, somewhere in the system of ribbon cables.
when I remove the bezel and the rear cover, I can get the image to display correctly by manipulating the ribbon cables on the left side which connects the left lower display...

    Sharp LC-60LE810UN Lamp error
    by Eric D.
    Hello everyone!
I just acquired a Sharp Aquos for free.
When I plug it in, it will try to power on, but it fails.
The "error code" is 1 long flash, then 1 short flash, which suggests it is a lamp error code, according to the manuals.
    I did a bit of research and did what I found could be the possible issues;
I removed the back panel, checked for continuity on both fuses where the power cable connects, and I get somewhere around 0.05. That should be good.
I also tested the leads going into the psu board from the wall connector; I get 120V.
    I disconnected...
