Re: sharp aquos LC-80LE632U led tv lamp error
Yeah there probably will be a timer cap.
Can you post a picture of the LED controller?
Also, check LAMP ERROR signal, if present, from PSU to main - you may be able to jumper this.

Well in other sharp tv's like the 32 inch there is a chip cap C7558 that you can bridge to get the ic to not time out and throw an error code. I wonder if that applies to this design as well? I am looking for C7558 and cannot find it.Leave a comment:

Led controller IR2E67M sharp manufactured. What pin does led monitoring short and open led monitoring? Thinking of "temporarily" disabling it.
it's obviously a false code all the LED's are working perfectlyLeave a comment:

Well screens back in. Obviously the led array is not the problem. Now im looking into power supply. Especially the led controller.Leave a comment:

Re: sharp aquos LC-80LE632U led tv lamp error
Well I pulled the panel and powered up the tv. Every LED is lighting up. I cannot get a reading from each strip. Do I have to measure every diode independently? They all light up the same lumens as well.It is backlit.Leave a comment:

Re: sharp aquos LC-80LE632U led tv lamp error
The LEDs will be driven by a constant current circuit. The constant current circuit will increase the voltage the LEDs are driven with until the current matches. If an LED is open the voltage will hit an over-voltage threshold and the PSU will shut down.Leave a comment:

Re: sharp aquos LC-80LE632U led tv lamp error
Something ele I learned. If I just leave the backlighting cables unplugged from the power supply, the error is still there after a hard reset. No change. Im sure there is a current biasing cuircuit embedded in the power supply and if each of the led's in series dont match the error is thrown. Now with none attached same code?Leave a comment:

Re: sharp aquos LC-80LE632U led tv lamp error
sorry I meant power input channel down buttons at the same time. Hold them while plugging in the tv. Lamp error resets, and allows the lamps to come up. If there is a problem still, unit will shutdown with corresponding blink code.
Apparantly a little trick to Sharps is without access to the service menu for resetting errors, you can do this and reset it externally. Of course im sure when errors are fixed, you would still need to access the service menu and reset the error counts.Leave a comment:

Oh great. I just learned this tv is a full array led. Leds behind the screen. All the leds seem.to test in spec thou. None open or shorted.Leave a comment:

You apply the require voltage to the LED stripe to see if they light up before dis assemble the LCD screenLeave a comment:

For me thou, im sure im going to have to access the lamp strips and look at them to see if I have a burnt out led. Anyone ever pull a screen apart to see the lamps on these beasts? Are they accessable without having to dissasemble the lcd panel?Leave a comment:

Yes I have heard of that but did you try the power input volume down to reset the board and allow the lights to come back on?Leave a comment:

by YanlebHi all,
I have this Sharp LC-60LE810UN that stays off and blinks a Lamp Error (1 long flash followed by a short flash, in a loop).
I already confirmed that the first backlight strip has an open LED using a LED strip tester. The other 3 LED strips are fine.
Before tearing the LCD panel apart, I want to make sure that the rest of the TV set is good. I've tested the power-supply/LED inverter board by sending 5 volt to PS-ON, to PNL-POW (that commands power the T-CON board only), OFL and STB pins. The power-supply is good.

Hello, looking for a list of error codes for this TV. made in 2020, its manufactured by Hisense under Sharp brand. No clicks, black screen, no sound, power light is on solid. When I press power, it blinks 5 normal blinks and 1 short. and nothing happens.
Anybody has a list of error codes that might apply to this TV? I have not opened it yet.

by scubacamperI found another post on this site the other day which has been very helpful in troubleshooting this issue I am having with my tv. The left half of the screen is dark, and the other half is VERY slow to generate it's image - and it only generates part of its image at that.
Based on this yt video, I have narrowed it down to an issue (short?) on the left side of the display, somewhere in the system of ribbon cables.
when I remove the bezel and the rear cover, I can get the image to display correctly by manipulating the ribbon cables on the left side which connects the left lower display... -
by Eric D.Hello everyone!
I just acquired a Sharp Aquos for free.
When I plug it in, it will try to power on, but it fails.
The "error code" is 1 long flash, then 1 short flash, which suggests it is a lamp error code, according to the manuals.
I did a bit of research and did what I found could be the possible issues;
I removed the back panel, checked for continuity on both fuses where the power cable connects, and I get somewhere around 0.05. That should be good.
I also tested the leads going into the psu board from the wall connector; I get 120V.
I disconnected... - Loading...
