Have 2010 Panasonic TC-P42S2 plasma with the 10 blinking lights. Cannot bring up a menu from the TV or HD digital cable box. When first turning the set on it clicks like normal and then after a few seconds clicks again. Black screen with blinking power light.

Took off back panel and disconnected the board on the left side. Turned the power on and now have 6 blinking lights. This suggests the SC board is bad. Is there a chance it could be the SS board and how do i test to see if the board is malfunctioning?

Check Q661 on the SC TNPA5105 board and see if it is dead short across the legs. It's on the heatsink with two transistors right next to the SD connector.
