It's good, then. Reinstall the PSU, and provide clearer pictures for me to work from please, as I cannot suggest any more without those.

No. I can't. The pictures are blurry and there's flash glare. I don't have the PSU in front of me, so I can't see potential faults or the design of the PSU, without good pics.

I think you need to buy or borrow a better camera.

maybe,so no more advice then, ive tested what you have stated,i physically cant see any blown caps or even hints of anything blown, not saying your judgement wont be any better you looking at a photo at this moment.
You have fixed many tv sets and reading your posts on other posters them even without pictures, you have guessed quite right.

                Re: Bush LCD37TV016HD

I've guessed right on some posts but only because of prior experience with problems.

Pretty much always when you have a dead set there's no easy way to guess what the problem is, apart from the obvious like a blown fuse, so clear pictures are a must.

It's very rarely "blown caps" and devices rarely make themselves visibly obvious when they fail. Less than 10% of my repairs involve bad caps and that percentage is ever shrinking.

there is one thing i did notice,it might be something or nothing on one of my picture there is a big cap (black on top) and that seems slight raised.
picture 6 below heatsink and next to other heatsink, this looks like it might do a big job on this pcb.

Would be unlikely for that to cause no power issues.

Look to the left of the big cap were it says replace with same size fuse, thing that looks like a resistor marked F2 that would be fuse.

NEVER connect a set while testing a fuse.

                                            Hi,

Trying to fix a bush TV. The Tcon is integrated onto the main board by the looks of it but before I buy a replacement does this look like a screen fault? The lines at the bottom are concerning me. I have check for shorts on the caps etc and can't see anything obvious. Nothing is overly hot and I've tried heating different boards and pressing down on the flex but no change in picture.

Any advice welcome. Thanks in advance....

                                            Hello everyone. 😀

As per thread title, this unit has a serious SMPSU fault. It blows F1001, which is a 10A M205 in the phase from the mains input.
Very first thing I tried, was simply replacing the fuse, but the replacement ceramic fuse blew immediately.

Looking at the schematic for this PSU, I then removed what I thought was the next likely candidate: D1001 - the HV main bridge rectifier.
This isolated the fault(no longer blows the main fuse), but does not point me to the actual fault.
There are no devices that have exploded or otherwise show signs...

ESR meter came to the rescue again today with a PLC I/O card fault
                                            by sam_sam_sam
I have been having a fun time at work with two pieces of equipment that had shorted components or shorted component cables to machine frame
I would check what my multi meter was telling me about how many ohms I getting with the multi meter was telling versus the ESR was telling me about weather or not it really was a short to machine ground or not

One note at first we thought that it might be a bad I/O card or a malfunction PLC including me as well but I thought I would try and see if removing the I/O cables would make a difference or not and this time it did make a difference...

Help with Bush Tv (Vestel 17mb95m Mainboard)
                                            by FlailingEngineer
Hi, I was recently given a Bush Smart TV by a friend and the main board seems to be hanging on by a thread.

Before we get to that, my first obstacle was figuring out the model number since the back sticker has gone for a walk. Upon taking off the back case, I noticed the following Vestel parts, 17MB95m mainboard, 17IPS71 (what I'd assume is power supply) and a VES420UNVL-3D-S02 display panel. After doing some research I think the TV I have is a Bush ELED42240FHDCNTD3D, based on the matching image here (https://www.manualslib.com/manual/11...td3d.html#manu...
