Okay I see that one. It's right next to the cap I said was slightly swollen. I've found em for around $125 US

What's the part number on that IC?
IMO, $125 is steep -- this board can be repaired for -much- less.

I agree it's very steep. The top of the IC read: 1207P CPEY 0605G

yes that cap defently needs changing its swollen quite bad theres also a lot of devices screwed on to the heat sinks do they test ok? not sure how to test the ic tom mentioned maybe he will advise you? could that bulged cap be short circuit causing the fuse to blow? i am not sure if you can use a light bulb across that fuse to save keep blowing them tom or budm may advise you there.

No info on that chip . Are you certain about that part #?

I think this is very close to what it may be.

The pin DRV should connect to a MOSFET on the heatsink -- does it?

Sorry for not getting back sooner. I bought a power board and got it in the mail two hours ago. I just put it in and got it all back together. It works an looks amazing. The ambilight isn't turning on. I call it a great victory even if the war isn't over. About to see what's going on with the ambilight.

Make sure the amblight power connector is connected. I'm on the look out for a Philips plasma or LCD with amblight, because I want to see if it is as good as Philips say.

Bought this TV used not working, panel flashed briefly on power up and it was blinking 8 times, a quick look on SS board revealed a common fault on the 3uF 250V capacitors, C201 to C205 (C1620X in the service manual), the solder joints were all cracked, C201 and C205 pins were darkened and some sparking had occurred on them, C201 was split open and clearly overheated in its last hours, replaced that one and resoldered the others, 8 blinks fixed.

Also the previous owner broke the antenna connector by taking the TV out of the wall mount forgetting to unplug it, I desoldered the tuner...

tried a power on reset by holding down power on button on rear of tv and applying mains no luck
first inspected for damage dry joints or loose foils no joy
checked psu volts ,the 12v and 24v supplies should be switched on by the main board no volts

Philips 55PFL5601/F7 Voltages ok, But not turning on - No front light
                          by jason123
                          Hi
I have this Philips 55PFL5601/F7 TV, seems to have all the right voltages including the PS-ON+21V (20.967V) and P-ON=H2 (3.3V) but front LED is not lit, no response to remote and not turning on.

The keypad connects to front IR board, then from IR board, there is a ribbon cable that goes to main board. Haven't tested that link. But, with PS-ON+21V high, TV should be on, right? I'm not getting picture, backlight or any activities.

I read some posts about C3214 or so.. but doesn't seem applicable.

                          Help!...

Samsung DM32D – Red LED blinks 5 times, won’t start (possible mainboard issue)
                          by Nairolf
                          Hello,

                          I have a Samsung DM32D display.
When I try to power it on, the red LED blinks 5 times and nothing happens—the unit won’t start.

Here’s what I have tried so far:
                          1. Disconnected the cable between the mainboard and the power supply → the backlight turns on.
                          2. Disconnected the main T-CON ribbon cable → same issue as before, the LED still blinks 5 times.
                          3. Disconnected one of the two T-CON ribbons to the panel (tested each one separately) → same issue, the LED blinks 5 times.

From these tests, I suspect the problem might be on the mainboard. Could anyone...

Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo
                          by G33RT
Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.

It does power up when pressing the power button.

I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.

Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ?
