Philips 55PFL5601/F7 Voltages ok, But not turning on - No front light

    Hi
I have this Philips 55PFL5601/F7 TV, seems to have all the right voltages including the PS-ON+21V (20.967V) and P-ON=H2 (3.3V) but front LED is not lit, no response to remote and not turning on.

The keypad connects to front IR board, then from IR board, there is a ribbon cable that goes to main board. Haven't tested that link. But, with PS-ON+21V high, TV should be on, right? I'm not getting picture, backlight or any activities.

I read some posts about C3214 or so.. but doesn't seem applicable.

    Help!

If you have standby voltage and you have no standby light or the TV doesn't turn on, the main board is suspect. You can try freezing the flash/eeprom or heating it up but usually with no standby light, the processor is pretty dead and isn't even sending the logic control signal to turn on the LED.

Do you have 13V at AMP+13V?

Edit: Just noticed you mentioned P-ON goes high. Does it toggle when turned on and off?

I agree with Neil, i suggest you to wait several minutes, sometimes it starts blinking an error code in some other Philips tv, then get service manual and check table..

Yes, I have the 13V at AMP+13V. P-ON is always high, and doesn't toggle with remote or keypad.

Judging by online search, there doesn't seem to be a replacement flash / eeprom for this? The processor heatsink is "warm" to the touch, but that's just Iq power probably.

It has been plugged in all night an unfortunately, no activity.

It is possible that there is a standby spi flash firmware corrupted. Better to search the service manual to locate that memory without lifting the heatsink..

check the 3.3V on main boards.. you have the test points of this line at the WLAN module.
if its there 3.3V or not you need to take out the heat sink to have access to the rest under it..
BTW can you write the label of the NAND its covered with firmware version label

                  3.3 V is present (3.32V)
Per the service manual, the IC (IC3102):

forget to mentioned did you check the Optical audio output if its led lids Red ?
this sign i used always as the set turning on.

Not activity on the optical audio - no red light at all

not SPI protocol, but Yes, this 2-wire serial port is on the edge of the board

No you don't understand me, i'm searching for a serial eprom spi that is probably under heatsink, so no messing around , lift the heatsink an make a photo..

Only processor and DDR (Memory ICs) under heatsink. No Serial eprom.

                                    hi,
i dont think its easy to repair this shit sandwich boards, i saw many BGA issue that under the main IC there was hole. so give try with hot air gun. if no fix then replace the boards.

BAD PROCESSOR, make reflow or reballing much better reballing.
