Good, scope is working.
You should remove the hook and put it to the side.
Then probe the capacitors I listed before: C97, C96, C94, C93; on the end closest to the "4558" chip.
Set scope to 100mV/div, 1ms/div, DC coupling.
I expect some clearly visible audio signals if the 4558 and everything before it is working. (Make sure audio is playing and volume is up!)Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

That looks... vaguely... like audio.

Does this TV has RCA (RED/WHITE) AUDIO Line output, look and see if you have audio output at those 2 RCA jacks. Also on the sound setup menu, is there speaker on/off selection?Never stop learning

According to the spec, it does not have headphone jack.

That means the problem is in the sound pre-amplifier/or sound processing section, not at the power amplifier sections which drive the speaker.Never stop learning

The Problem: This player has a toggle switch to select between Stereo, Mono R, and Mono L. Regardless of the setting it outputs the sound to both the L&R audio jacks. In the Mono R position, the audio output level is normal (from both the L and R audio output jacks), in the Stereo position the audio output is about half the volume, and in Mono L, it's about 3/4 the volume. Something about putting it into Stereo mode is causing the volume to drop significantly and I can't figure it out.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hello, everyone. A neighbor was throwing this TV away for "not turning on" so I asked for it and they gave it to me for free since Vizio gave them a new TV under warranty.
I'm pretty proficient with electronics in general but this is the first TV I've ever tried to fix. I strongly suspect bad LED lights but figured I'd post some info and see if those of you more experienced with TVs can confirm my suspicion before I move forward. Some photos and measurements below:

Hi All. I had a Roland KR-3500 Digital Piano (similar to the KR-4500) that exhibited a Crackling audio sound on all keys. After reading somewhere about someone with a similar issue who had replaced all the Electrolytic caps I decided to also go down that route. (Spoiler : It worked !) After some basic troubleshooting I determined that it could be noise feeding thru from the Keyboard scanning since the Demo tunes played back undistorted and the Audio amp / speakers were fine ( Inserted an Audio signal into the rear Audio input). I did find a SN012776B0 on A2442 model, but the sub and replaced it, no go. Anyone know if these audio amp IC's are cross compatible between 2021-2023 models?...
