    emerson LC320EM9 Blinking power light

Hi green led blinks 12 times and goes off and red standby light comes on and stays on.I have posted a pic of inverter board i have checked for swollen caps and power i have no power on small ribbon cable circled in red and large black and red connector going to main board no power any suggestions?

I also replaced three diodes circled in red that i read were a problem in another post here.

Sorry forgot to post pic of bottom here it is.

Also forgot to say that when power button pushed i hear a snap sound like a arching on or near inverter board tried to pick out exactly where it was on board but could not.

On red/black you should have approx 160V.

        Thanks for the quick reply

That's what i thought but i don't have any voltage there trying to figure out why.

Well that makes no sense because then you'd have no LED at all.

I think because that's a pic of inverter/main board not the power supply board..

Yeah, that red/black should be 160V DC rectified from the "inverter". The "inverter" has the bridge rectifier and half of the main capacitance on it.

Ok reinstalled board and checked voltage at that connector again and do have voltage there now 165 volts. But no voltages at the small ribbon cable going to main board.

Re: emerson LC320EM9 Blinking power light

After a few more checks i found that if i unplug ribbon cable from inverter board to main board circled in red green power light blinks 12 times but after 12 blinks stays on and does not go out and to red standby light.

When i unplug all the connectors from main board to tcon i get no lights at all wont light up any lights. I posted pics of both sides of main board.if anyone can take a look maybe they can see something i am missing I am new to this but very interested in learning.

UPDATE Tried to charge up the large cap on main board using 2 AA in series and also with 12 volts from power probe it does not charge up or read any voltage after charging. Could this be my problem?

The power supply could easily discharge it, because it works down to a very low voltage.

Along that ribbon cable you need to check each voltage on each pin and compare it to the service manual specifications.

Do we have right PSU outputs? I never asked you to check...

                                  Verify the outputs on CN301:
                                  Pin #7, +13V
                                  Pin #8, +24.5V
                                  Pin #9, -6.8V
                                  Pin #10, +3.3V
                                  Pin #12, +3.3V
                                  Pin #14,#15, +3.3V
                                  Pin #16,#18,#19, +3.0V,

will check psu out put voltages. Tom i just noticed a bad diode next to the transformer don't know if i fried it trying to charge up that 250 volt large cap or not will have to change it. I think i did fry it because transformer is making a high pitched noise now and did not do that before. After i get diode changed will check outputs on psu and post them .thanks again i love this site you guys are very knowledgeable on this stuff.

                                          Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

So i plug in the charger, amber light starts blinking ,there is 3.3V and 5V present, and 2.4V on the power button, board doesn't turn on, no shorts...
                                          I've tried flashing the bios...

interesting thing is the battery was around 7,8V, and it's 11.1V battery, the mosfet near the battery is open, but not charging,i desoldered it,tested it and it's fine ,but the amber light kept going on the charger so i charged the battery with power supply and got it to about 10.5V...

hello, i have been sitting on some microsoft surface pro 4 tablets for a while now. i was originally tasked with replacing the battery in one of the tablets, and ended breaking the screen and logic board in the process. decided to buy another tablet with the same specs. got that screen off successfully of the second tablet. the logic board appeared good, but i guess i shorted something out in the installation process of the logic which i've read is a common issue if there is no barrier between the logic board and battery pins. all that said, i ate costs of the repair and have...

LG 39ln540v - red light flashes twice, no power to LED driver?

                                          Hi there,

I've got a 39" LG 39LN540V that's just spontaneously stopped working! The symptoms are - when I plug it in, the red light will flash on twice, then go out, there's no visible picture, and I couldn't see anything using a torch on the panel either. If I press the power button (either remote or on TV), the red light comes on continuously. If I press power again, the red light flashes twice.

The TV is using a power board EAX64905301. I've attached a diagram of the power output, I've tested the voltages with a multimeter and I'm getting the following:
                                          ...

Good day, hope all are healthy and cozy. I could use some help with my malfunctioning Vizio with a blinking power light. I have narrowed the problem to the main board but not sure what to do next. I guess it would be good to start with what I have done.

                                          Problem:
I have no image, no sound, blinking power light. (left it plugged in overnight and it was still blinking the following morning). I tried the Vizio recommendations (hold power button for 30 seconds, press reset button, check the outlet is live)

                                          Power Board:
I am getting 5v only. I have unplugged...
