  • Sony XBR-55x900F mainboard replace firmware upgrade

Hello every body, I found a bad main on this tv so I ordered a replacement and I installed the new one and powered up the tv to find a dead tv with flashing red/green power led. I contacted the seller and was told I need to upgrade the firmware in order for the new main board to work.

How do I upgrade a tv that is dead wont power up?

  • Re: Samsung UN55F7050AFXZA ver. TD01 power cycling

I have voltage on +L2 + L3 +R2 +R3 but when I put my volt meter to any of the 2s and 3s plus and minus I dont get the voltage... If I go from chassis with my negative probe and put my positive probe on the +2s and +3s I get voltage... all the rest of the led circuits I can probe the plus and minus and get voltage without going to chassis ground with my negative probe. I think the LED driver controller chip vibrates the negative side of the circuit to regulate voltage and current and I dont think the 2s and 3s are getting oscillation......

no the middle two circuits L2 & L3 and R2 & R3 wont light up but when I remove the screen and put my led tester on those 4 circuits they light up with an external LED tester...

Well I checked the t-con board for shorts and didn't find any... I also powered up and checked the voltage at the main fuse on the t-con board and it goes up to 12.48 volts in between power cycles...

Hello everybody, I could use some help on this one... It's got me guessing...
I took pictures of all the boards and the pin out of the connector on the power supply that goes to the main board... I measured all the pins in relation to chassis ground, here are the result.

    (B13v)1. 12.7 volts cycling (Vamp) 2. 12.7 volts cycling
    (B13v)3. 12.7 volts cycling (PWM5) 4. 1.0 volts cycling
    (OD_LE)5. 2.8 volts cycling (PWM4) 6. 0.9 volts cycling
    (OD_ON)7. 2.8 volts cycling (PWM3) 8. 0.9 volts cycling
    9. ground (PWM2) 10. 0.9 volts cycling...

  • Re: LG 75UK6570PUB BUSWL0R Lights up no picture

I found the problem with the missing 12volts, right below the LVDS cable that goes to the T-con board Q1101 and a little SMD resistor are fried and the board is burnt and the foil pattern for the resistor is lifted off the board... SO scratch the idea of fixing this board I'll try and locate a replacement!!!...

  • LG 75UK6570PUB BUSWL0R Lights up no picture

Hello Everybody, I got this tv from a friend. It only lasted a little over a year and its been sitting since Jan of 2020...

I poked around a little bit, tested the voltages at the power supply I got 13.2 volts going to the main board. then because there is no picture I went to the T-con board and there is 0.11 volts at the fuse on the t-con board, I unplugged the t-con board the voltage stayed at 0.11 volts. I power cycled the TV and the voltage comes on at 0.11volts at the power cable for the t-con board.

I looked at another post on a different version of this TV...

  • Re: VIZIO E50-C1 Backlight Driver circuit

Hi budm, I took that picture of the led strips when I first installed the replacement led strips. The second led strip from the top on the left was slightly dimmer than the rest... When I took the panel out this time that dim strip is now barely lit and skip two other strips below it s and the next one is burnt out... I visually inspected the harness and can't find a problem. The plugs at the led strips are so small I can't meter that end of the cable. I'm new to all this led crap. I've been gone from this tv repair scene for about 5 years,...

  • VIZIO E50-C1 Backlight Driver circuit

Hello Everybody, I have a good one. I got this TV a couple weeks ago and it had about 80% of the LED strips burnt out, So I ordered a replacement set of strips and installed them. This tv's backlight array will stay on even with several burnt led strips, I found that odd. Anyways I get this tv back today with 2 strips not burning and one strip dimmer than the rest. I smell something burning and it turns out those little chips in a circle around the little square controller chip, there are 6 of them, two of the six are so hot I burnt my finger. the numbers on the chips are top row 4892 and under...

I've been gone for most of the afternoon, we are getting ready for some serious boat racing... When I get in later this evening I'll get on this, thanks for your replies, you guys are so helpful. I just love this place, its insane!!!

I did look on the back side of the power board for a pinout, and didn't see one but I found one on the front side almost in the middle of the board so i have a starting point to look at.

I need ideas On these double row connectors, what can I use to probe beside the wires in the backside of where the wires go into the connectors? I need to be able to sample bottom row of pins while the power board is plugged with all wiring harnesses attached.

  • Samsung UN55KU6300FXZA Version CJ05 Black Screen W/BL On

    Hello Everybody, and good morning!
got this TV last night, I plugged it in and the backlight comes on. It won't turn off, no response pressing the power button other than a brief single flash of the red led and that's it. there is a double row header on the power supply that is going to the logic board, I can't find a pin ledger for that header but I have 12 volts going to the logic board on the top row of pins, 6 pins and the four middle pins all read 12volts to chassis ground. A shot in the dark seems like a firmware issue and I keep telling myself I need to tool up for flashing....

    Vizio M550NV

Hello Everybody, I know there are several other threads on this TV, and most of them are TSOP48 replacements I'm almost positive mine is as well. I've found 2 ads on ebay, nothing on shopjimmy... I'm wondering if anybody on here has stepped up their game and started flashing and selling? I would rather put money in the pockets of this place and it's members than anywhere else

I would like to help create another sucess story all the way around...
