Samsung LN46C530 46" LCD No Picture-Backlight or Inverter Power Issue

The Samsung does power on and chimes.
No picture and the screen is black, with a very very very faint gray, see photo
None of the caps look exploded

You need to check the surface mounted fuse and voltage on the fuse of the T-CON board which is under the metal shield at the bottom center for the screen.

OK, at least we know that the main board sends the voltage to the T-CON. By the way, you can mount the board back in place without the cover, and make sure to put one of the ribbon cable back in place, it looks crooked.
Did you check around to see how much this T-CON board (use the numbers as printed on the bar code sticker) is yet? Not sure how far we can troubleshoot down to component level.

I also noticed 2 to 3 verticle lines on the right side at start up, then they disappear after few seconds.

I will shop on ebay for a board, if that is the best place to find replacement parts no.

The cable on the left is tweaked, I aligned the line across the cable with the connector, then clamped the connector.

I get most of my boards from shopjimmy.com and never get defective boards yet.

shopjimmy board just came in, and I swapped the T Conn board, now I have the solid white band on the left and light band on the right(see the text after aspect ratio).
I don't know the history of the LCD.

Could the LCD panel be bad or T Conn board is faulty or the cable are not correctly installed?

The LCD panel is bad but it could be potentially rectified by fiddling with the tab bonds. You must take ESD precautions when replacing t-cons. I touched the t-con->LCD interface and fried an LCD panel; it ended up with a stuck vertical line.

What component is messed up on the power supply if pins 6&7 don't show the 10.5V for the inverter

I have the same model that will power on and hear the power up sound. I disconnected the CM802 and the backlight does not come on. On the connector CNI802 Pin 6 and 7 I have 8.8V not 10.98V as in the above picture. My TCON board pico fuse has a K on it. I get 12.3V on both sides.

Is 8.8V on pin 6 and 7 to low?

                      Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

                      Hi all,

My Samsung TV display recently stopped working while I was playing PS4 (no storm or anything to indicate a power surge). I could still hear audio through the PS4 but no display. The TV kept trying to turn on but would turn off after a second or two.

I tried the obvious troubleshooting steps like unplugging, replugging, trying different outlets and power cords with no luck. Someone on another forum suggested that it may be a power supply issue so I purchased a replacement power supply board but that did not help. I then disconnected the main board from the...

Samsung Plasma TV Power Supply Issue
                      by lp20th
I have a vintage 2008 Samsung 50” Plasma TV, Model code PN50A550S1FXZA with a power supply part number BN44-00222A. I repaired the power supply board several years ago finding a couple of cold solder joints on the back side of the board and it's worked great up until now. Recently a fried sound occurred with the smell of burnt electronics and the TV shut down. Trying to turn it back on yielded the typical relay clicking with no TV boot up. Upon investigation, removing feeds to the other boards within the TV it was found that disconnecting the logic board from the power supply allowed the...

                      by mrtek
                      Hi

Picked up another TV. Samsung UN43NU6950FXZA. No power and no standBy led on. Removed back cover and:
                      Main fuse = OK
Back light LED = OK. Power them with aux power source
                      LED output = OK 156V
I do get 12 V DC out of the power supply going to the digital section but no 5V or 3.3V. PS_on voltage is only 1.8V. I have looked everywhere on the PCB , I could not find i reference for 5V output.
Also removed connections to panel, speakers and remote but no luck. One strange thing is that even with the LED power supply working, backlight LED do not turn on...
