a replacement board is quite cheap if the white bar code sticker number matches

depends if you have to pay duty on it.

Great! That's not too bad. Perhaps it would be prudent to remove the module first and do some tests on it. Testing from VIN (pin 6) to SW-NODE2 (pin 12) should reveal a short.

Replacing the board is also a good option, if you want to do that.

Ok first i will remove the component and test it. Can i use something to test, like 9V battery. I don't wana buy the power supply board if the other (a-board) is bad

I don't think a 9V battery would have enough grunt unfortunately, but you could try using 6x1.5V alkaline or NiMH, or using a lab power supply. Don't use a wall transformer as they're usually unregulated (15V no load for example.)

When you can get PSU for under £30 or part for just £10?
It is most likely PSU at fault.
I would not give up, it is a 37" Panasonic LCD TV, which costs a lot here (I don't know about prices in Croatia.)

yea it cost here a lot, but i am crazy. I tested the DC/DC device and it has 0.5 ohm between #6 and #12. Ok i will order PSU from ebay, and hope that will then get picture.

The new power supply board came, i connected it and the same 3 blink.
I check voltages and i got 5V on #1 #2 and #5, should i try to force it with wire and resistor?

Can you test the DC-DC on the new board and see if it still has 0.5 ohm short?
It is possible the A Board has been damaged by this over-voltage though I'd expect a different blink code (or no function at all) if that were the case.

                            I connected #1 and #5 & #6 with wire, and #1 with #15 over resistor. I got on #11 & #12 9V, and on #20 & #21 18V. I tested it on TV, but i didn't connect it to the main board.

I think we should consider disabling the 3 blinks detection to see what the TV does. Removing the appropriate transistor on the A Board should do it.

Try Q5615. Just lift two legs to isolate it from circuit. If that does not work I need to figure out how the circuit works first, as it's not immediately obvious to me. We might just remove the resistor for SUB9V so we disable that.

I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.

So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...

                                            Hi everyone,

I'm new here and trying to repair my Panasonic TX-P50V10E plasma TV, which is currently showing the 6 red blink error code.

Just for context: I'm used to building PCs and installing modchips in old consoles, but this is my first time trying to fix a TV. I'm French, and while my English is okay, I'm using ChatGPT to help translate and clarify my messages as much as possible — so please forgive any odd phrasing.

I'm also not very experienced with using a multimeter, but I'm very motivated and ready to follow instructions carefully and report...

I am sitting with a very similar issue.

Basically, had a probook that worked, gave it to someone, they returned it DOA. what the heck happened, I have no idea.

Caps and num lock blink 4 times, as per HP, thats a board failure. I am very new to this, so perhaps I should be posting a new thread?

Anyway, I resoldered the bios chip on after trying EVERYTHING else including reseating ram, cpu etc.

Multimeter shows 19.5V on power, so I presume thats correct. Fan spins, no display. No post. Bios chip looks good from what I can tell just not sure how...

                                            (Another) 7 BLINK TC-P60VT60 Panasonic - NEWBIE
                                            by SentraDude
Greetings from SoCal I am new to this forum but not new to forum world. I come from Automotive end of side which is my main passion in life. Give the automotive nature, I love fixing and restoring things and I have in the past fixed many simple electronics, soldering, etc.. but this is a bit more involved so I found this forum, and I am very glad I did.

I picked up a Panasonic TC-P60VT60 with the 7 BLINK error.
Upon removing the back plate I found spider webs, dead spiders, and an amazing amount of dust. I did my best to clean the surface of the boards with a portable vacuum...

Sony KDL-55W802A - Red led blink 8 times
                                            by Smartec82
                                            Hi,
I have this tv that works for about 15 to 20 minutes and then turns off, leaving the led to blink 8 times, this via HDMI, because I can't get into the tuning menu, it says Function unavailable.
Through the manual, I was able to verify that it could be a software problem, but unfortunately the tv already has the latest software and that's why it won't let me update.
Does anyone know of a way to reinstall the software?
