This set is for sale but this guy sounds like it won't be cheap, he said he spilled some juice on the bottom section of the screen and it fried a circuit board behind the screen, I don't think he ever removed the back to inspect it. he said it does still have sound but no picture, does anyone think it could have damaged the LCD screen or backlight? all comments welcome. Thanks!

Re: Possible Purchase Samsung 32" LCD LN32D450G1D spill on screen no pic. has sound
To be honest I wouldn't touch it. There's too many unknowns, even if you fix the original fault how do you know the screen has survived?
Surely there are plenty of plain dead sets? I have no trouble getting any in the UK.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Possible Purchase Samsung 32" LCD LN32D450G1D spill on screen no pic. has sound
I got burned on a set where they spilled a liquid on the screen. They did not tell me what happened except to say that the screen is black. Only found out after buying it and opening it up. Spilled a soft drink and it went into the tab bond area and the screen PCB. Fried it really good. The screen in that set was reversed with the tab bonds on the bottom (stupid idea)....Comment

I've seen some like that with the tab bonds on the bottom,Bad Idea! I'm staying away from this one because the description the guy gave sounds just like that's what happened, he said "spilled juice on bottom screen area, something behind screen fried"Comment

Tabs on bottom (along with t-con) improves cooling so less tab bond problems. In theory. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

by Ryan.manHello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... -
by RozpHello Everyone,
This is my first post so I will try to be as precise as possible without making this post too long winded. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the original problem but I included images of the TV internals.
I have a Sharp 70LE660U. The problem started a few months ago with the bottom row looking out of sync and was dark on the left side and then fading to transparent on the right side. Shortly after, a dark cloud appeared in the center of the screen. The dark cloud started small and shaded but the image was visible. It also affected the menu area.... -
by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!!
what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!
i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...-

by AudezeI have a 2019 75" x950g, and while playing a movie, the screen suddenly went dark in a weird way, where it faded towards one corner into being fully black. Now the TV turns on, and the backlight comes on, but there is nothing displayed except black. Sound still comes through the TV speakers, and i have tried doing a hard reset using the volume - and power buttons while plugging the display back in, but it did not fix it. I can confirm that pressing buttons on my remote is still doing "something" because I'm hearing sound still, even though the screen is black.
