Re: Samsung UN55H6203 LED and screen?
no such luck yet. As soon as I put on the bezel, problem is back.
I've done lots of these with the CCFL lights and the stronger metal frame, but these flex too much.

Re: TV Main Board cross over
if the board is the same p/n, then the screen size does not matter.
The model number should also be the same except for the size # in the model.
I swap main boards all the time but I usually deal in other brands like Samsung, Toshiba, etc. You can go up or down in model numbers within the same series too. A higher number may just have extra inputs or features...usually applies to the brands I work on. I don't touch RCA so I can't be sure with them.

Re: Samsung UN55H6203 LED and screen?
Right side tab, second from the bottom.
Using a piece of tape...don't know how long it will last.
I guess it will be for my use till it craps out again.

Samsung UN55H6203 LED and screen?
Hello members,
I recently picked this model up with a complaint of 'black screen, audio still working' off a kijiji listing. I asked if the screen was not cracked, scratched or damaged. Of course, the seller says its perfect. Just a backlight problem. I tested the strings with my backlight tester and found one of them open. The only thing to show up on the screen was the HDMI input in the upper corner. The LED tester only gives enough power to partially light up the screen on 1 string at a time. I did not have a signal input. I opened it up and replaced 3 bad LEDs and tested it before putting...

Re: Toshiba 40RV525u, backlight not working
Any suggestions as to what to try next if it is the main board? Can the board be fixed? problem narrowed down to some component? Or just replace the main board?

Toshiba 40RV525u, backlight not working
Hi All,
I picked up this TV recently off kijiji. The owner said it stopped working one day. The power LED and the Toshiba emblem light up and nothing else. I did a search on this forum for common problems and hoped that it was an easy fix. Probably a voltage missing from the power supply or a shorted component loading down the power supply. No such luck. All the voltages are there. No short found. No blown fuses found. The set was opened by someone but it does not appear that anything was touched inside. The boards match the ones in the earlier posts about this model. The inverter board...

Re: Toshiba 50L1350UC No Picture
I watched his video. I will decide what to do when I open up the panel. I don't have any LED strips from other sets yet. I have to make space for all the large parts first in case I have to keep it open and wait for parts. Thanks again for the info.

I disconnected the strings one at a time. Only have a flash with L1 connected. L2 is the bad one. I am learning. Thanks guys.

Re: Toshiba 50L1350UC No Picture
Thanks for the info. I will order a LED backlight tester so I can test the strip down to the defective LED. I have removed LCD panels up to 46 inches before without breaking them to replace CCFL tubes. Does anyone know what LED to order as spares? Replace them all or just the defective one(s)? I've seen both types of repairs done.

Re: Toshiba 50L1350UC No Picture
Can you give some more info on testing and repair? Tear it down to the LEDs? Am I looking for an open LED?

Re: Toshiba 50L1350UC No Picture
I recently picked up this same model with the same problem and almost the same voltage measurements. I have lots of experience with the older CCFL LCD tv's and have fixed dozens of them including replacing lamps but this is my first LED backlight one so I need some advice.
The backlight flashes for a second and then goes out.
No back light; voltages with TV on are:
L2- 12.41VDC, using chassis as gnd.
L2+ 76.8VDC, using chassis as gnd.
L1- 11.09VDC, using chassis as gnd.
L1+ 76.8VDC, using chassis as gnd....

Re: KDL40S4100 Screen dim, slow to refresh
Its a tab bond issue. The screen is probably Samsung. Common symptom is darker screen and slow motion in 1/3 to 1/2 of the screen.

Re: Samsung Ln52A650A1Fxza bad picture botton of screen
I agree with AFajitas. Sometimes you have to turn power off and then on to see if the problem is corrected. Don't rub the tab. Apply pressure carefully. Find the magic spot. I have fixed sets with 4 horizontal bands on the screen doing it this way. If the timing signals get messed up, you have to cycle power to the set. I have had better success with hard vinyl bumpers, about 1/8 inch thick and then use the screws on the screen frame to apply pressure for that tab. Stick them to the frame, not the tab or the screen.

Re: Purchased bad TV to repair but it works
I've bought sets that work when I try them at home. I don't try them at the seller's place unless they have it ready and plugged it. I've had them back out if the set starts to work properly again. At my home, I open them up and see if I can spot any damaged parts like caps, etc. If nothing bad is found, I use the set till it fails which can be from a few hours to as long as 6 months before the stated problem shows up. Then I fix it.
The problem with sets from recyclers is if they are even willing to give/sell them is that...

Re: Samsung LN52A530P1FXZA Tab bonding repair
I have fixed a bunch of these, all Samsung screens, usually the larger Sony sets. All are well past 1 year after the repair and they are used daily. No return of the problem. One of the sets (52 inch) is moved on a TV cart on a regular basis over bumps in the carpet/bare floor interface. I used vinyl bumpers from Crappy Tire and only on the tab that needed it. Check past threads. I have not sold any but I may because my fix seems to last.

Re: Samsung ln52a750r1fxza bad picture
Looks similar to the tab bond issue on the Sony 46 and 52 inch KDL series. They use Samsung panels.
Could be fixed. Mine are still good after 1 year.
