Hello I have a vizio v037l fhdtv20a that has no picture or sound. The vizio light changes from amber to white when I power it on but thats it. I have 1.5 vdc to the a and b pins going to the main board and inverter. I have 5vdc on the pins to main board but no 12vdc or 24vdc. I have nothing at the pson. I jumped the 5vdc to the pson and then I had all my power. I dont know where to go from here.

Yep check the fuses on the main board as well as the voltage regulators, as per Vizio usual...Comment

Check all your voltage regulators on the main board. Vizios have problems with them failing. My sig file below has details.--- begin sig file ---

Repost with the part numbers included. Without them, we have no 100% way of verifying if they are good or bad.--- begin sig file ---

F3 is OL? That sounds like a problem. Can you check the DC volts on each end, relative to case. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

by csmithI replaced the backlights all good. Two months later set was dead, had a shorted D9100, replaced all good again.

by gavricHello, i am working on Vizio M70-C3. It can hardly power on, it takes 15 power button presses or remote. Seems like eeprom problem that I seen before but all reading online says that this tv has power board or main board problem.
When tv powers on vizio V logo shows nice on whole screen. picture 1
When it goes into tv mode it only shows good picture on left side of screen, right is all scrabbled up. pic 2
When i start youtube picture shows on left side fine, right is all scrambled. pic 2

by ggil44Hi I inherited a Vizio M65-E0 that isn't working. It must have been dropped on the corner because I found that the infrared circuit had a capacitor with one end broken off of the board and some green corrosion around the plug to the main board. I re-soldered the capacitor and cleaned the corrosion well and tried turning the M65-E0 on and I was successful. My problem is that while the back lights come on and appear to perform local dimming there is no picture or sound. It kind of looks like you are looking at the TV through a very dense fog, where changing the input on the remote will change bright...

by maricmHI all,
hope someone point to the possible issue before I start buying replacement parts.
Tv starts normal and responds to remote fine, PSU voltages mesured fine 19v was 18.9V under load and 19V with main board disconnected.
Backlight stays on all the time,
Sound works fine.
screen keeps changing form black to full picture in about 1sec intervals.
Picture looks fine with no visible artifacts.
I have disconnected backlights and flashlight test confirmed that picture is still doing the same.

Hi,
I have a VIZIO E70-E3.
Symptoms: Black screen, no picture, but LED backlights are working.
I probed the power board and voltages are as listed on the board.
Main board appears fine, too.
I believe the problem is either a bad T-CON board, or connection to LCD, or bad LCD.
There are two separate ribbon cables feeding the LCD.
If both are connected, the screen is black.
If only the ribbon cable that feeds the right side of the screen (when viewed from the front) is disconnected, the left side of the screen shows picture and... - Loading...
