Thanks budm. I think you helped me in the past on a different tv.

Part is on the way and i did get it out. Had to use a razorblade if that helps anyone else. Just get between the board and regulator and gently slide it off while heating both sides. Will post update when i get the new regulator.

I cut out the two small legs first, no need to take it out as a whole and be real careful not to un-solder the resistors close by.

I have the same vizio model that you have, I've been working on it, you can go here to see whats going on with mine.

you say you soldered in a fuse and now you have a lighted screen, Is the screen blue or white?
I just read one of your earlier post, if you don't get the PSON 3.3V without the resistor from the 5v then you probably will need to replace the Main Board or try to reflow it in the oven, please read all of my posts by clicking the link I posted here.

Is there a specific area we are trying to reflow.

Here's a quote from tom66: "It could be a problem with the large heatsinked processor. Perhaps BGA bonding issues. You can try reflowing it in the oven. I brought an Nvidia GPU back to life doing that. But remember to use flux. Lots of flux".

If I try that I will use lots of flux trying to get a lot under the Large GPU that's under the Black Heat Sink, keeping the board flat at all times until cooled down, never push down on the heatsink while its real hot from the oven, BGA is Ball Grid Array meaning little balls of solder between the GPU and the board making the connection of the two, If this method works I'm not sure how long it will last. It could be indefinitely or who knows.

Well I decided to go over my solder joints on the 2 regulators and now the vizio logo will not light up. No voltage at pin a and b anymore damn.

Might be connecting the 2 pins with solder. I did this and it messed up my readings before

I have no voltage to any of the regulators now pretty much nothing on the main board.

I can't remember which one is what but one of those fuses is on 5v supply and the other is 12v supply, you can check them for continuity with an ohm meter to see if either one is open, or check voltages on both sides of each fuse to verify they are good. If one or both fuses are bad you may have created a short somewhere while re-soldering the regulators. I messed up my main board doing a heat gun re-flow but it wasn't working right anyway,I ordered a replacement board and waiting on it to arrive. Good Luck with yours.

How much did you have to pay for a board? I looked on ebay and they wanted 130 nope. So I am going to leave the jumper in and wait for a cheaper board.
