    Nuvision Nuv52fx5 no picture.

    I have a 52" Nuvision NUV52FX5 that has a problem with the picture. I believe it is the tcon board. But looking for some insight. The tv turns on and the backlight comes on as well. There is just no picture. I have checked voltages on the psu and all are good. I checked the fuse on the tcon and it was ok as well any other ideas? Does it sound like the tcon board? I checked the voltage at the fuse on it as well and got 12VDC. Please any help would be great. I have added some pics of the back of the tv. Sorry for picture quality that is the best i can do until my girl gets home with the good camera.

    Check to see if there are any fuses on the main and check the voltage regulators too. I forgot who has the info on how to present that but I'll go find it after I post this.

    Usually image probs reside in main or T-CON.

        Ok so I checked all of the voltage regulators and all test fine. There was about 10 of them. I checked that guide and all were according to the specs. I couldnt find a fuse on the main board anywhere. Should there be one?

          What do you guys think? Any other steps I should try or just order the tcon board?

            Check the voltages on the T-CON beside at the fuse yet?

              It looks like there may be reg(s) on the TCON too, did you check those?

              And fuses depend on manufacturer, usually by connector from p/s

                That is a terrible picture but I looked at the tcon there are no regs on it. Also where should I check the voltages at?

                    There are at least two switching regulator circuits ont the board, the picture is very poor for me to point out the test points for you to test.

                        I already checked the fuse. I said that in my first post. Bud can you point out the 2 that you are talking about and I can get a better pic of that area?

                          Please see attached picture, we really need good bright picture to see the test points.
                          From the look of this T-CON board with two connectors at the bottom edge, there must be another big board that drives this T-CON board, more likely that this TV can do 120/240 frame rate? This will make it real difficult to troubleshoot due to that frame rate driver board.

                                    Ok I also tested the other one marked in my pic cause it said VCC too.
                                    VCC = 3.2
                                    VCC3.3 = 3.2v
                                    VCC1.8 = 1.7v
                                    VOFF = -7.3v
                                    VOK (Actually VON)= 21.8v
                                    VGH (Actually VON_P) = 24.9v
                                    AVDD = 15v
                                    VIN = 11.8v

                                    Does that help any?

                                        Do you think this board is bad? Also can anyone else help me figure this out? What is causing it to have no picture?

                                          Hi,
                                          I have a VIZIO E70-E3.
                                          Symptoms: Black screen, no picture, but LED backlights are working.
                                          I probed the power board and voltages are as listed on the board.
                                          Main board appears fine, too.
                                          I believe the problem is either a bad T-CON board, or connection to LCD, or bad LCD.
                                          There are two separate ribbon cables feeding the LCD.
                                          If both are connected, the screen is black.

                                          If only the ribbon cable that feeds the right side of the screen (when viewed from the front) is disconnected, the left side of the screen shows picture and...

                                          TCL 50S535 bad tcon or panel issue?

                                          Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...

                                          A funny fuse story – Lumix LX100 II
                                          by corrize
                                          Hello, I disassembled this dead camera, and found this WTF… Two fuses soldered one above the other !
                                          I was pretty sure nobody touched it before, but that can't be from factory. There is flux, and capacitor is probably missing.
                                          The other weird thing : the fuses are « G » fuse : (0.75A – 8V), seems very low. The original fuse should be « O » : (32V 2,5A).
                                          There is « O » mark beside. All fuses have the same mark letter on main board. So, I can deduce it's a « O » fuse.
                                          And this correspond to the issus I saw : when I plug the battery, I measure the voltage dropping...

                                          T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)

                                          Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

                                          The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

                                          Original T-con:
                                          Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

                                          First replacement T-con:

                                          I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...
