Re: Sharp LC70LE65OU screen help
No it hasn't. That's the thing. Nothing makes it better or worse. If you push on the screen it doesn't do anything. Anything I can try?

Re: LC42SV50U Won't Turn On
I saw that post already, but the usb doesn't seem to have any power. What would happen if I put >>>>>this board<<<<< in it? It looks identical in every way.Re: LC42SV50U Won't Turn On

Re: LC42SV50U Won't Turn On
There is a reed LED at the bottom of the tv that is supposed to light up when the tv is plugged in but it doesn't either.
Any help on where to start with the main board....Last edited by burner6999; 03-05-2016, 11:58 PM.

Re: LC42SV50U Won't Turn On
I didn't include it because it was all working. If I put 5v to the brown wire the backlights come on....

I am not sure there is hardly any markings on the board. Where would I check for that?

LC42SV50U Won't Turn On
I am having trouble with a tv that I picked up to fix and give to a friend for his birthday. I have power to the supply. I also have power coming out. There is no lights or anything that come on when it is plugged in. I have tested all the voltages and have listed them in the picture. If I put 5v to the brown wire on the left, then the backlights come on. I have also purchased the service manual for the tv in hopes to fix it. Is there anything else that I can check? I cannot find a main board anywhere, but it looks like it is the culprit at this point. I have also tested the power at the switch...

I had the meter set at 200ohms. I went ahead and ordered a new board. I will post back and let you know if it works. Thanks guys.

Re: LG 55LD520 wont turn on
Just to be clear the little black things by the capacitors are the mosfets? Also do I need to remove them to test them?
Pin 1-2 1.9
Pin 1-3 1.9
Pin 2-3 0.7
It is the same across all of them I tested the ones on slave 2 and nothing happened on the multimeter.Last edited by burner6999; 07-28-2014, 02:32 PM.

Re: LG 55LD520 wont turn on
Ok after a few minutes of checking I have narrowed it down to master 2. With it completely out the tv tries to turn on. The back light flickers. The weird thing is that it has to be taken completely out off the chassis. Even when it is just unplugged it still kills the 24v. How do I test the mosfets?Last edited by burner6999; 07-28-2014, 01:47 PM.

Re: LG 55LD520 wont turn on
Well when I do that it changes nothing. Just master plugged in or just slave it doesn't matter. That is why I am thinking it has to do with the 24v loss on the power supply. Hey bud any other ideas. I am a noob to this so any help from here is appreciated.Last edited by burner6999; 07-28-2014, 01:10 PM.

Re: LG 55LD520 wont turn on
That is what I am trying get figured out. Any other ideas about what to check? On the bottom side of the board the traces that runto the 24v go to the long bank of caps by the heatsink.Last edited by burner6999; 07-28-2014, 12:58 PM.

Re: LG 55LD520 wont turn on
I measured the voltage at those at all 3 caps and it was 393vdc. I have a question. If it was a mosfet on the slave or master board wouldn't unplugging them one at a time change something?

Re: LG 55LD520 wont turn on
I dont believe that is the case cause I was reading another post about the same tv where the guy was having problems with inverter boards and he said he had 24v when they were unplugged. Also it is wierd because when I first probe the 24v points it jumps up to 19v and then 0Last edited by burner6999; 07-28-2014, 12:33 PM.
