I recently got a Samsung LN32C530 from a friend because it did not turn on. When it is plugged in the standby light turns on, but when you hit the power button it just blinks 4 or 5 times and then turns off. The person who had it before me thought it was the capacitors so they replaced those and I thought it was the main board, but after replacing that the tv will still not turn on. I have attached pictures and would appreciate any help given.

The capacitors that were used as replacements appear to be general purpose, and are completely insufficient for the application they are used in.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Panasonic FC, FM and FR are commonly suggested around here and can be acquired from Digi-Key for about $10 total. The question is - did the person replace all caps correctly, so are the specifications (uF and voltage) correct? You cannot be certain...Please do not PM me with questions! No I can't say. I found the schematic for the board so I'll verify that the capacitors match that. Are those capacitors something that I can go to Radio Shack or somewhere to get or would I have to get them online?Comment

That looks like where your friend got those from. Go to DigiKey if you need help post back here. Make sure about the size, diameter and height it looks pretty crowded on the board.Have you ever stopped to think and then forget to start thinking again?

Looks like Digikey has a better supply of FM's. Get the uf and voltage along with sizes and you want radial type caps. Try this URL:
http://www.digikey.com/product-searc...c%20Fm&stock=1
You should be able to get what you need. Get shipping by First Class Mail it will get there in 2-3 daysHave you ever stopped to think and then forget to start thinking again?

Re: Samsung LN32C530 will not turn on. Standby light just blinks
So I replaced the capacitors with capacitors that matched the specifications off the schematic for the board and i am still getting the same issue. Any other ideas on what could be wrong?
ThanksComment

What happen if you disconnect the cables to the Inverter board? By the way, does it make that Samsung start up tone?Last edited by budm; 08-21-2012, 09:55 PM.Never stop learning

Sorry for the late reply. If I disconnect the inverter board the screen turns on and the Samsung start up sound does not happen when I attempt to turn it on.Comment

That usually indicates a problem with the main board but pictures are really not good enough for troubleshooting j- they should be a s clear as these

Are these pictures clear enough? I believe it is a problem with the Main Board also, but I can't narrow down the issue. I have already bought a new main board, but it is possible the new one has the same issue.Comment

I know there is a firmware update, but i can't apply it because i can't turn the TV on. I'm also not convinced it would do anything.Comment

Re: Samsung LN32C530 will not turn on. Standby light just blinks
I have researched this issue on the model extensively. The problem is almost always the Main PCB. So much so it is very difficult to find any supplier that has a new, refurbished, or even a used one.
Does anyone know of a shop that you can send these to for repair?Comment

Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power... -

I got the tv in spring 2024. At that time it started, then ran 60 sec and poweroff. Seemed like reboot issue. I didn't have time and room to check it in summer so I plugged it in and now the standby light is on. I press button on remote, standby light goes off and tries to start?. No picture or backlight on LCD. I thought about removing diodes like in this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...sung-qled-q60r... -
by NicktronicHey Everyone,
So I've got this Samsung and the reported issue is that when powered on the backlight comes on, but no picture, no sound, it will flicker, the standby light will flash red twice and repeat the whole process...each loop lasts about 15 seconds.
I've googled the issue and understand it is likely a panel/driver board issue, but was hoping the "tape method" could be successful. Before I did that though, I disconnected the left LVDS cable and powered the TV on. This time I got sound, no picture and the two blink standby light stopped. Did the same...03-27-2023, 07:01 PM -
