      Look at your readings in post 33. You measured pin 2 at 1.51V. As PlainBill would have done if he wasn't MIA, he would ask you is this good or bad now that you know how to interpret the part number?

      Hint: Reread posts #34 and #40 again slowly.

        Thank you so much for your help. I will make sure that I check the surrounding capacitors as you suggested and order a new regulator. Thank you for responding back so quickly on my posts

              1) Post a picture of your U9 so we know what package it is. Follow my sig file exactly for posting a picture.

              2) What are your readings for U9?

              3) In digikey, click on "in stock" and type in "1117 1.5v regulator" into the search field. Once you have correct package type selected, your choices will narrow down significantly.

                  Plugged it in, hit the power button and took the following voltage readings:
                  U9
                  Pin1=0
                  Pin2=1.5 volts
                  Pin3=4 volts

                  U7
                  Pin1=.03 volts
                  Pin2=1.27 volts
                  Pin3=4.03 volts

                  U33
                  Pin1=2.79 volts
                  Pin2=4.03 volts
                  Pin3=5.10 volts

                  U8
                  Pin1=2.04 volts
                  Pin2=3.28 volts

                    U33 it's bad. Should be 3.3V(where do you have 4V) and it's supplying the U7 and U9 with higher voltage.

                        This is exactly why I always ask for actual readings.

                                      Nope. Your U9 is good. You report pin 2 is 1.5V for U9. The part number tells us that the expected output voltage is 1.5. So your U9 is good.

                                        OK, then I will replace U33 since that isn't outputting 3.3v.
