Re: what could have caused this?? burnt connector
i think i got the connector from Ebay, and the caps you can get them anywhere (ebay, rs, farnell, etc) but id stick to getting panasonic ones as these are good ones (in my opinion)
these might be them...but check the pitch is right first......or search for similar and see what ya can find
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Molex-KK-6...item19df5caa65
^^^ pitch is 2.54 on these cant remember what they were on the boardLast edited by shepp; 02-21-2014, 12:58 PM.Leave a comment:

Re: what could have caused this?? burnt connector
Ive seen a number of sets with burned out plugs/sockets like the O/P....
I wouldnt trust a new crimped on connector--preferring to solder the cable direct to the PCB pads on the board itself...
--This reduces the possibility of a burn-up happening in the future....Leave a comment:

I wonder--Are the 20-40" Tosh, JVC, Hitachi, Sanyo etc, in the USA just re-badged Crap Vestel sets too?
Or do they in the USA escape the hideous crud that is VESTEL!Leave a comment:

1) Post clear focused top down pictures of all your boards following my sig file below exactly. We want the picture compositions like so
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpo...94&postcount=1
2) No power led light suggest something is wrong on the main board. Test your voltage regulators and compare them to their respective datasheets to make sure they are within spec.Leave a comment:

Re: what could have caused this?? burnt connector
Hi I have the same tv AO42ZID with power board FSP312-2MO1, I had coloured stripes flashing on my screen every time I turned the tv on for a few weeks, then eventually it just stayed on standby, flashing. I repaired the blown and swollen caps and replaced the T-5 amp fuse on the power board, there appears to be power goin thru the board. Im getting the correct 24v + 12 v readings on my multimeter from the inverters, but still no power or stanby light at all now ? Any one help I don't fancy giving up on it yet lolLeave a comment:

Stay away from ~32-40" Toshibas - they are just rebranded Vestel sets! (Absolutely rubbish!)Leave a comment:

Re: what could have caused this?? burnt connector
A type of LCD panel.
IPS panels have very good color accuracy, viewing angles and a relatively fast response time (almost no ghosting), but consume a lot of power.
TN is uncommon in LCD TVs (shitty viewing angles and color), but VERY common on cheap LCD monitors (due to their very fast response time and cheap price).
There are some noname/cheapo LCD TVs (22" and below) which use TN panels, and it's very easy to tell because the image goes all wonky (inverted colors etc.) if you look at the screen at an angle (from the top or the sides).
MVA/PVA is common on LCD TVs as their viewing angles and color accuracy are pretty good, but they have relatively slow response times, which makes them rather uncommon in LCD monitors (not suited for fast-paced games ; ghosting).

Re: what could have caused this?? burnt connector
I saw Panasonic "IPS" LCD panels this week in an ad... Has this been around for a while, or is this something new (Not IPS in general, but IPS in a 42"+ set)?
Safe bets are Panasonic, Toshiba (I wasn't sure at the begining, but they do use Japanese caps in their sets) and Sharp (Quattro is overpriced and actually not a good thing). Stay away from LG and Samsung and other Korean stuff.Leave a comment:

by TomyleeHi everyone,
Sorry for the person who’s going to read all this !
I'm on a Nintendo Switch Lite, motherboard HDH-CPU-02.
While replacing the left joystick, I had to remove the motherboard to access the connector underneath. When I lifted the LCD connector latch, it broke (the plastic had become brittle over time), so I replaced the entire connector.
During the desoldering of the LCD connector using hot air, three small components located just below the connector (likely 0402 capacitors) came off and remained stuck to the bottom of the... -
First post -Intel NUC 10i5 -BXNUC10i5FNH not powering on -IC burnt- request for IC details/datasheetHi all,
I came across this very active forum with knowledgeable folks on electronic circuits and components, while google searching for the details of my burnt IC marked 7603 in Intel NUC board. I joined this forum today and this is my first post here.
I recently got an Intel NUC 10i5 and had installed Linux Mint and was using it for about a month when it died suddenly and did not power up after that.(Power Adaptor is ok). When I opened the NUC , there was a burnt IC marked 7603 (and ILCB in second line). I am unable to find the details/datasheet of this IC. I will be grateful if... -
Hi everyone, I bought a damaged a2338 MacBook pro with water damage and I'm hoping to learn how to fix it. I've worked on electronic for a long time for never attempted repairing water damaged components. The charge port connection on the motherboard along with the USBC connector is burnt. I'm hoping this is worth my effort and I'm not wasting my time. I've sourced some parts but first I was wondering if there was a way to check to see if it was Beyond repair if there was a fried CPU. Is there anything I should check before I order parts?4 Photos01-31-2024, 08:57 PM

by 5mall5nail5Hi All -
I had replaced my ASUS 4090 Strix cooler with a waterblock and put the stock cooler on the shelf. Was moving it and snagged my sweater on the connector and pulled the wires out of the pins on the RGB connector. I tried to get them back on but its too small so I opened the stamped pins and tried to solder but its not a good repair and the wire broke on reinstallation.
Looking to replace the connector on the cable side and get pins to crimp onto a new cable. Bought random JST and such but nothing is correct. Can anyone help identify the connector and possibly matching... -
by drscootNever saw this before, the speaker connector on the mainboard is half melted down! User says he was using a hdmi monitor when the laptop broke down. Power adapter led is the only live I see currently, 19,5V at the mainboard connector but nothing else. No voltages at the coils.
What could possible cause that burnt connector?
Idea's what to check?... - Loading...
