Hi everyone, I bought a damaged a2338 MacBook pro with water damage and I'm hoping to learn how to fix it. I've worked on electronic for a long time for never attempted repairing water damaged components. The charge port connection on the motherboard along with the USBC connector is burnt. I'm hoping this is worth my effort and I'm not wasting my time. I've sourced some parts but first I was wondering if there was a way to check to see if it was Beyond repair if there was a fried CPU. Is there anything I should check before I order parts?

Short on ppbus. Taking 3a at 1v and nothing is heating up. I have at least 3 pads that are badly burnt from capacitors. Ive scraped (at least attempted to) not sure how good I did? Are these possibly containing internal shorts? Do you think they need to be scraped more?...

by Ugur87I have a brand new 13.6-inch MacBook Air M4 that was only used for three days and now has water damage. A glass of water was spilled over it. I examined the motherboard and there was only water next to the display connector. I cleaned it with isopropanol and the components look clean. The MacBook obviously turns on and draws 20 volts from the power supply. The keyboard backlight comes on, but the display remains black. Where should I best start? Even when I shine a light on the display, I don't see any image. I have all the tools I need, including an infrared camera. Where should I best start?...

by edugimenoHi! My friend just brought this audio amplifier/speaker fro his music band saying they realized its got no sound. Led powers up but there no sound at all
I opened it and found 3 board. 2 of them are for input plugs and potentiometers, and the other larger board has the amplifiers for 2 large speakers that it drives
There's also a large toroid transformer that feeds a lower voltage to the first 2 boards and a larger voltaje (36x2 rectified close to 100v) to the power board. The power board has the plugs for both speakers
There is only one signal wire connecting the first boards...-

by rouninPost:Hello everyone,I'm troubleshooting a MacBook A2338 M2 (820-02773) motherboard with a charging issue. Here’s the situation:Initial Fault:
- L8430 was burnt. After replacing it, the system worked normally for about two weeks, then failed to power on.
- Without Battery:
- When connected to power, voltage ramps from 5V to 20V, then drops back to 5V, cycling repeatedly.
- After disconnecting F5200, USB-C voltage stabilizes at 5V, and Pin 1 of F5200 measures 12V.
- After Replacing U8100:
- With the battery connected, the system powers on normally, and the battery icon displays

by mferna14Hi Dear Friend., I am working on a Apple MacBook Pro A2338 820-02773-A. The history was that the AON Rail on the Trackpad connector JT400 was burnt. After I removed the burnt connector, I tested with the meter & no shorts. Connected the USB C power & all booted fine, no problems at all. I soldered a New TP connector put in the old trackpad with a brand new Flex cable. The laptop beeped in the start but no display. I removed the connector & the display was fine again. USED a known good Trackpad & a Flex cable, even with this still the same problem. I checked the connector whether...
