Yes, I still get 5v standby.

Just went and turned it on after it sat since my last message (20 minutes). First time on, all rails had voltage on them. Turned off power, waited a about 30 seconds, turned it back on, voltages are no longer present, except for 5v, which always is working.

There are so many replies, I do not remember if you did mention that you do have the SCH for the power supply section or not. It looks like we need to power sup the power supply by itself and use lamps for loads. do you have the SCH that I can look up to see how it works?

By SCH do you mean a schematic? If so, no. No one has posted one, and I can't find one. The service manual only lists the pin outs for the power supply.

I've been 'bench testing' it by taking the 13 pin connector off the main board, plugging it into the power supply with a 3.3kohm resistor between pin 11 (power on) and pin 6 (ground). I don't have any loads on the supply as of now.

Can you look to see what the chassis number is? It should be on the same tag where the model is printed.

I already have the service manual, it doesn't have a schematic for the power supply, unless a new one has been uploaded in the last month or so.

In the first post you said the PSU had been previously worked on.

Have you checked with the schematic to see if they replacement capacitors were actually correct values etc?

Re: Philips 32PFL5322D/37 power supply repair

I don't have a schematic, so I don't have any values to compare against.

Looking at the bottom side of the supply, it looks like they worked only on the primary side, and the seller did tell me he couldn't get any voltage on the secondary side.

I'm guessing he started at the bridge rectifier, which was replaced, and then worked his way up, replaced two diodes and a blown resistor, and couldn't get it to work.

[Recap here, not necessary if you are in the loop on the thread]

So far, I've replaced the standby SMPS controller, a blown resistor, and the PFC controller. When the power supply is plugged in on the bench, I have 5v for standby, and pulling the standby line low with a 3.3k resistor turns on the power supply. All voltages are present, I haven't run it with no load for more than about 30 seconds. But if I unplug the power supply then plug it back in, the voltages will not be present aside from the 5v standby.

When the power supply is installed in the TV, it works for about 10 minutes, then the run voltages are no longer present and the TV goes into protect mode.

Since I can't remember what I had for breakfast today, I won't remember this suggestion 151 posts into a thread.

What happens if you point a fan to the back of the TV? Does it stay on longer than 10 minutes?

Hello, New here. I have the same problem and same set. My red LED blinks once followed by another brief blink then repeats. What problem code does this denote? Thanks in advance. I will measure some voltages in the mean time.

If your only getting 5v check the PFC controller chip on the back of the power supply. I was only getting 5v and almost nothing on all the other pins and that chip was shorted. I replaced that chip and the tv fired to life. It should have L6562D etched on the chip if it's a 32PFL5322D/37. Check between pin 5 (ground) and pin 6 (Zcd).

Finally getting back to this, had some 'life events' so didn't work on the tv for a while. I bought and built the 'Blue ESR' meter a while back, used that to test the capacitors on the power supply, all looked good. Put the supply back in the TV, and...immediate 8 blinks, doesn't even turn on the backlights.

                                        Sigh...back to square 1.
