I recently was givin a vizio L32 HDTV10A to mess around with. When I push the power button the power light goes from standby (orange) to power on (green), but i get no response from the tv. No picture, no backlight, nothing. and once the tv is on, i can't turn it back off without unplugging it. I can't really see any obvious signs of burning or bad capacitors on power supply or main board. I just want to know which part to replace. I don't want to buy the wrong thing. I'm kind of new at this. Some help with this would be greatly appreciated

The symptoms that you've listed are common with mainboard issues. Research a little bit here using the search function and look for vizio. 32 inch 37inch and 42 inch vizio's have been having these same problems. The strong-minded rise to the challenge of their goals, the weak-minded BECOME HATERS

Re: L32 HDTV10A Won't turn on fully
There is a chance the U26 has been damaged, but that symptom is slightly different (amber only; no green on power-up). It's a very tiny component on the upper right region of the mainboard that controls the TV power on. Most people probably can't see the melted solder point without a 10x lens.
You can bridge it with a 10k ohm resistor or diode (I chose the resistor), but it would be preferable to repair it and replace the component. Fixing a $700 mainboard with a 20 cent resistor is very rewarding.

by MulpHi All,
I am having an issue with my Vizio M65-C1 where it does not turn on. When I plug it in the stand by light on bottom left of screen turns on (white) then fades away. If I press the power button it turn back on and then fades until it is super dim.
When I remove cover, there are no illuminated leds on the main board, I've seen others with a red/blue led that turns on.
I've done some research and what is interesting is my voltages all seem slightly different from other people. For example +5/3.5v is 3.48V when on which is different from others on here.... -
by pajdekHello, i have some issues with my laptop Lenovo Y700-17ISK (motherboard BY511 NM-A541), it started when i turn on the laptop, but the lcd wont turn on, i then connected it via hdmi to tv and screen was ok. Conncted power supply and tuned on my laptop, the lcd turn on, it started to load os, then it turn off, after a second it turn on, then after like 3 seconds turn off again, and so on. Removed power supply, waited...

by RdeveLabsTo all the members here...
Let me tell you a little bit about what happened to my laptop (MSI GF63 THIN 11UCX model: MS-16R6) that “maybe” you know how to solve this problem.
So before this problem happened, my laptop was running smoothly. When I wanted to restart my laptop, it looked fine at first. But after I waited for this restart process to take a long time, until finally I panicked (because the restart process did not finish plus the laptop screen only showed a black screen), I immediately pressed and held the power button to force the laptop to turn off. But... -

by robante15Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 4520 from a couple of decades ago and I want to repair it solely for nostalgia.
It happens that when I turn it on after having been disconnected for a long time, it turns on without problems, it tells me that the BIOS has been reset and that it will load the factory settings, if I tell it to continue, the computer turns on and everything works fine.
The moment I turn it off and want to turn it back on a second time, or restart it and try to start it again, it no longer gives an image, and it no longer responds.
If I remove the... - Loading...
