yes, there is one fuse on the board. I checked it with a test light, it is in working order.

yea, my camera is kinda crappy. sry for the blurry pic. I tested with voltmeter and found no voltages whatsoever on any of the pins for the components u mentioned. And I am pretty much certain that this board has no U33. I looked for hours.Leave a comment:

sry for the long paragraph, i was just trying to be descriptive and thorough about the problem i am having. I'm not sure where U33 is located on the main board. I have looked and looked but most of the letters and numbers are too small for me too read. I tried to attach a pic of main board but it won't upload for some reason. So your saying that the lcd inverter won't turn unless instructed by the main board or? So if i replace the main board, will the tv work properly again?Leave a comment:

I have a vizio l32hdtv10a that doesn't turn on fully. i plug it in and without pushing the power button, the power light turns green. I also can't turn it off without unpluggin it. I have noticed that the remote 3.3v signal that turns the power supply on fully is not existant, it shows no voltage whatsoever. I have already pretty much determined that the main board is bad. What i'm really trying to figure out now is, 1. is my power supply working properly? and 2. is my lcd inverter board working properly? I tried supplying my own seperate 3.3v signal to the remote pin on the power supply. It seems... -

thank you for your advice. i checked the pin of the battery with a voltmeter, none of the pins showed any voltage whatsoever. i will go ahead and order a new battery, as they are only 20-30 dollars on ebay, it's not that big of a problem.Leave a comment:

i've got a toshiba satellite a105-s4004 that turns on and works perfectly, but the battery doesn't work or isn't charging, i'm not sure. If i have laptop plugged in it works perfectly, but as soon as i unplug it, it shuts off, battery has no charge at all after being plugged in all day. also, whether the laptop is on or off, the charging light is not lit up. I checked the pins that go from the motherboard to the battery with the laptop plugged in but not on and they showed voltages. Is my battery just bad? or do i have bigger problems, like a faulty charging system? some help with this issue would... -

i just performed a successful motherboard re flow. I put the laptop motherboard in the oven at 300 degrees F for 20 minutes. laptop works perfectly now.Leave a comment:

i have narrowed it down to the gpu. Could it just be that the solder is not connecting right anymore? Is it possible to fix it? How do i test if gpu is still good? I really just want this laptop to work. It is too nice to just throw away.Leave a comment:

I have a toshiba satellite a215 laptop. When i turn it on, it boots up normally, but the screen is blank. No picture, no backlight, nothing. I know it isn't a hardware problem cuz i have seen the screen work, it actually turned on one day about a month ago and i watched it boot up successfully. I left it on for a couple hours with know problems, turned it back off. I went to turn it back on and the screen was right back where it was before, blank. Some help with this would be appreciated. -

i did some more tinkering with the tv. I tried using a standard electrical wire to bridge the connection for u26, now the power light turns green right when i plugg it in. Did i just make the tv worse?Leave a comment:

L32 HDTV10A Won't turn on fully
I recently was givin a vizio L32 HDTV10A to mess around with. When I push the power button the power light goes from standby (orange) to power on (green), but i get no response from the tv. No picture, no backlight, nothing. and once the tv is on, i can't turn it back off without unplugging it. I can't really see any obvious signs of burning or bad capacitors on power supply or main board. I just want to know which part to replace. I don't want to buy the wrong thing. I'm kind of new at this. Some help with this would be greatly appreciated
