Hi
I am no electrician and i need someones help please. I have an Lg 42 inch plasma that will not power up at all, no lights nothing.
I have taken the back off and on the power supply board there are at least 2 blown caps ( split on top slightly) and two with bulging tops.
I tried to follow where the board was live with a test pen nearly half of the board is live then it goes dead where one of the capasitors is located.
Would blown caps stop the tv showing any sign of life at all when plugged in?
I am going to go out and buy some replacements but do you guys think this is all it could be?
cheers
would a photo be better to look at to show the dead caps
