Re: BN44-00517C dead - blown cap, resistor and fuse
Hi, do you reckon that will be a 2w or 3w resistor? Cheers! Bob

Hi budm,
Thanks for your message, i will check for shorts on the fet, yes i have some 2kv caps as change these quite often on sone of the older 32" boards that come in to me. Thanks for confirmation on the resistor, i will order sooner if those in. Will confirm if the repair works! Thanks Bob

BN44-00517C dead - blown cap, resistor and fuse
Hi All,
I have a UE32ES6540 which is dead, customer reported a pop and a puff of smoke. PSU is BN44-00517C and has blown 221k 1KV cap, next to this a blown resistor RM811. Board mains fuse is blown.
Has anyone seen this problem and will changing the cap, resistor and fuse likely fix it? One more ask, can anyone give me a 2nd opinion of this resistor rating of RM811? I think it's 0.24 Ohms but would like a 2nd opinion! See attached pic.
Thanks!

Samsung PS-42Q96HD PSU Clicking BN44-00194a DYP-42W2PLUS
Hi folks,
I have this TV PS-42Q96HD DYP-42W2PLUS in for repair, PSU is clicking - cycling every 2 seconds. Have checked all caps with esr meter and and replaced a few that were visibly bulged, reading high, and one that had completely failed. With mains applied, psu starts clicking and Vs is measuring at 304 - 306v (too high, should be 205!) With oscilloscope i can see Vs flies up to 300v+ then falls as relays click out, then climbs again. Disconnecting from the panel, with psu on bench, Have added resistors to back of board to force PSU on and Vs on. Vs then sits up at 304v constantly,...

Re: le37r87bd help
Hi, i have this exact same fault on my le37r87bd, one of the inverter transformers is open circuit. Finding it hard to source a replacement, does anyone have a spare inverter board they wouldn't mind taking a transformer from? Cheers :-)
