N0 , no error codes unless I unplug the BE2 board.

Can we see the pictures of the whole back side of the TV showing how all the boards are connected together?
Right now the Panel detect and the Bl-on are 0V. I need to look at service manual to see what the Panel-detect should be high or low for normal condition.
BTW, it would have been a lot better to put down pin name and follow by the Voltage reading for each pin.

its a "tube based" back light (I think). You probably don't have to worrying about access to the tcon at this time (but to get at it, you have to take off the metal sheet metal paneling). As budm directing, you probably need to investigate the voltages further. Make a "text list" of voltages versus label / pin will help get you further as oppose to making the forum "work thru" your pictures. One question, what is the history of the set?

Hist, of tv..love this tv..Floating galss style..Has been working fine since I bought it new.. All at once Picture ,sound and backlights all went out at same time.Green power light is on ..No blinking red lights.Have swapped out the main au board twice with a used board with no change..Changed out the power board with a used one..Still no change..so trying to figure out if its the BE2 or T-con or something else..

Are 100% sure that the backlights did not even flash on for seconds when TV is turned on with all original boards?
I would put old boards back in and go from there.

I think I have the same set (bravia but xbr4)... "saved from the friends garbage"....

I wish I had the stand as he threw that away. :-(

Anyway, go thru the voltage stuff again to give us an easy layout. You might want to check some voltages at standby and then just at the start of power up to see if anything is amiss. Not sure if sony has a "force on sequence" but maybe see if you can find one. My set had an issue with the panel in the corner (top right) because the owner always "twisted" it on the wall mount which caused a tabbing problem on the corner which caused the set to not start some times and also not have a "normal picture". I would more suspect an issue with the tubes / inverter.

You might try entering the "service mode" for checking errors... it might be a "force on type" thing IF you are lucky.
Sequence is "display" "5" (ie. channel number button 5) "-" (ie. volume minus) then "tv power" ... note this is done with the set in standby.

Yes no backlights..I put back in original boards. The posting with outputs are with original boards

hopefully those will help. The one that I notice is the PFC - 0. To me, that indicates the PFC circuit is not turned on... maybe. Hopefully, budm will take another look.

Leave the DC V meter probes on two pins D2 Inverter board connector CN6600.
Take the reading when when TV is OFF and when power switch is activated to see if do have PFC Boosted Voltage of about 380VDC or not.
See schematic for details.
Also check the low Ohm Fusible resistor R6600 on D2 inverter board, R6800 on D3 inverter board, and R6102 on the power supply G1 board.
If you look at G1 schematic, you will see what the Voltages should be on the connectors.

OK ..D2 voltage at cn6600 is 392.

For ohm readings..if I did it right..all 3 are between .2 -.4 sort of stabilizing at .3

So you do have Boosted PFC but the PFC detect pin on the Power supply board shows as 0V per your picture: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/attach...8&d=1555016484
It should be around 3V as shown in the schematic, so you need to check that PFC Det section of the power supply next, see the schematic.

Just rechecked PFC detect and am getting 3.2 volts...sorry

Would a good TV repair shop have a way of testing the T-con without taking it all apart?? some sort of scanner/tester?? And same for panel??
Trying to figure out how far to go before deciding it's junk. Would hate to take it all apart ,replace the T-Con and it still not fix the problem??

So you are 100% sure that Backlight pin and Panel-det pins are showing 0VDC?
1) TV turned off, keep black meter probe on chassis, red probe on Backlight pin the turn TV on while keeping and eye on the meter to see if the Voltage jumps u p from 0v at all.
2) Turn TV off then move red probe to CN6752 PROTECT pin of the inverter board D2, the turn TV on while keeping an eye on the meter to see what Voltage you have.
3) TV is still turned on, use red probe to read the Voltage of pin 1 of CN6752 to see if it has 11V dc or not..
4) TV unplugged from AC outlet: Check R6788 (4.7 Ohms) of D2, and R6277 of D3 board.
Notes: Panel detect signal is generated by D2 Inverter board to tell the main board the condition of the two inverter boards D2 and D3.
5) did you get to the T-CON board to check the Voltage on the SMD fuse to see if it has 12V?
