I was given this set and do not have the original remote. It will turn on with the power button and display "oobe V1.1.12 firmware V0" but that's all it will do. It does not respond to the input select button or volume button. I have a remote from the cable company and programmed it for Vizio and it will turn the set on and off but that's it, no response from any other buttons. The white standby led comes on bright at first and then dims but stays on while the set is on. I pulled the back off and looked for anything obvious like loose connectors, bad solder, bad caps and didn't find anything. Also checked voltages on PS board and they all looked normal. Since the BL's are on and it's displaying a pic and responding to the remote for on and off functions, I'm thinking maybe this is a firmware problem. What do u guys think? thanks, Lee

Try updating the firmware using the usb method, current version is 2.0.17 -

I downloaded the firmware, extracted and copied it onto a blank thumb drive. With the set on I plugged the drive into the usb port and nothing happened. I connected an ethernet cable to the set just to see what would happen and now I've got Google pics changing every few min and the correct time displayed. The firmware instructions say to put the set on an input with no signal and I think that may be why it's not updating. When I press the input button on the rear panel nothing happens and I don't have a remote. I also downloaded the smartcast app onto my phone thinking I might be able to control the set with the phone. When I try to pair the phone with the set the phone searches and does not see the set.Comment

You may need the proper remote control, but I would think the input button on the tv should work, try disconnecting the network cable and see if the input will change, I am not that familiar with this problem but it seems like the tv hardware is working but the firmware has an issueComment

Tried disconnecting the network cable and pressing the input button but it does nothing. When I disconnected the cable the screen went blank and when I reconnected it the google pics came back on. It seems it's stuck in whatever mode displays the google pics. lol I'll order the oem remote tomorrow.Comment

Try a simple reset, unplug tv, hold power button on tv for 30 seconds, plug tv in and try it, if you didn't already.Comment

Tried it and also tried the other reset where u hold the volume and input buttons down. I think it did reset to the original firmware. I tried to update the firmware with a thumb drive but it not starting the process, it just sits there. I ordered the remote and it should be here by Fri.Comment

Got the remote in and it will turn the set on and off but that is it. It looks as if it is not booting up because sometimes when u turn it on it will only show the software version on a black screen. Other times it will show google pics and the correct time. It will change from pic to pic and the whole screen looks great. But that is all it will do. It won't let u select an input. When u hit other buttons like volume up down, channel up down etc. nothing appears on the screen and the set doesn't respond.Comment

I have two TCL A30 phones.
Old Phone: This phone worked fine for years, then stopped charging If you plugged a charger into it, the phone would make the charging sound, the phone would tell you it is charging, but the battery icon would not have the charging symbol in it and the battery would not charge.I tried new battery, same behavior.
New Phone: Works fine, bought as a donor board to try and repair Old Phone
My interest here is to repair Old Phone, using components parts off New Phone if needed. I am not interested in replacing Old Phone with New Phone.... -
To you programmers out there I want to know if it is possible to put a new OS on the Sonim XP5s phone? I only need this phone to make calls, receive calls, have a list of contacts and be able to call voice mail.
I bought this phone new Sep.2021 as an unlock phone from a third-party seller. The phone worked fine until Jan 2022. I then had intermittent problems with the sound setting resetting itself. I noticed that the System update lists current firmware is V1.0.6 and is able to find on the Vizio server 2.60.23-1... it downloads fully.. but instead of restarting, it just goes back to the previous screen "NO SIGNAL - HDMI1"
I got the code and followed the update via flash drive - and it does exactly the same thing. Firmware is copied by the TV 100%, and then nothing - instead of restarting, it just goes back to the previous... -

I have this TV a small 20 inch that works perfectly except for the IR has stopped. I have confirmed that the remote control is fine and tried an alternative and even tried with IR blaster from phone. Remote 100% ok.
Tried installing latest firmware but no change.
TV won't respond to remote at all, not even to bring it out of standby. I have to use the touch sensitive front panel to operate, at which point TV is usable albeit with no remote.
Tried replacing the IR receiver diode/bulb on front panel and no change so put the old one back. After tracing... -
Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.
