no, i asked which code he has searched, if the good one or not.. BN94 is the good one..
my curiosity, has someone done house works , using heavy tools, drills , demolitions and so on the days the defect happened?

Not that I know off. After getting so much information from here, my good guess is that he ( the local tech )has probably tried to fix it by working with the u ribbon cable and eventually totally damaged the main board. That's why my tv went from normal image but with horizontal stall lines to full blue.

yes, clearly a panel defect, the same and today old gate driver defect.. only masking tape can work
you must mask a series of 8 subsequent pins on one of the two flat cables starting from the outer side, at random

I understand. Going from left or right to the middle of each cable. 8 at once. Should I try that before swapping the main board ?

Update: before leaving home, I have managed to swap the main board and now I have the image back! Yeey ! So the main board was damaged. But I still get the lines. If I remove one of the u ribbon I get the following image.
I will have to try your method of masking the 8 subsequent pins tomorrow.
Picture 1 - without removing the flex ribbon
Picture 2 - with the flex ribbon removed

I am afraid I have only removed the u ribbon from right side as I ran out of time to do so for the left side aswell

I will try this tomorrow. So patch 8, then another 8, only from on side of the u ribbon, until it gets fixed? Please look at picture.

Despite what one member says, lines on the screen even lots close together doesn't instantly mean a bad panel, it could be as simple as a bad cap on panel driver boards which technically is a bad panel, or cap on mainboard or cap on powerboard or something else on one of the boards, those who jump to conclusions quickly, NEVER make good troubleshooters AND they are sooo f@#king irritating.

I completely agree with you, but there's nothing else I can do but try things. So far, the only thing that worked was changing the MB, now I got back to having an image. I would also change the caps on the lower boards where the the flex ribbon connects, but honestly I don't see which caps are they or the name, so I can order some.

No it's not you Gbb, it's that goofy guy that keeps crying panels shorted every time he sees a line or two, which it could be a bad panel but could also be a LOT of other things as well, we all know his name.

First two pics are from the left side of the tv as you look from the back ( right side front)

Last two are from the right side of the back( left side front)

I hope when you said puffer boards, you meant this.
