    Samsung 65" UE65TU7000KXXU VER:02/UTU7000 TV Blue screen

    Hi.
I have the Samsung TV Model: UE65TU7000KXXU VER:02/UTU7000 which has developed the following issue: blue screen while the sound it's still working. This happened after the screen developed some horizontal lines at first and then the next day suddenly turned into blue background. the screen was not damaged or anything. I can't access the menu. I have taken the tv to a local tech to have a look and he said that he thinks that it might be the pcb board as the back-lights are working and the sound aswell . I was hoping maybe you can guide me if I should buy the pcb board or not? Thanks

Samsung UE65TU7000KXXU VER:02/UTU7000 tv pcb board cap

    Hi all,
The problem on my Samsung TV Model: UE65TU7000KXXU VER:02/UTU7000 is more likely to be a bad capacitor (smd?) On the pcb board. The local tech has recommended to buy a second hand pcb but he isn't sure if this will eventually sort the issue. I have a blue screen with sound working.
Is there any way I can check the capacitors myself before taking the risk and buying the pcb that might not work?
There is a picture of the board. Thanks alot!

Can’t say 100% without and kind of troubleshooting. But these “TU” series TVs have had a lot of panel failures/ problems.

Re: Samsung tv pcb board cap

I have tested with the multimeter for continuity (beep) and also tested by setting it on 20k ohms and some of them are charging while some are not showing any value.

My theory is that while he was checking the tv, the tech has "played" with the ribbon cables that connects the bottom lvds stripe and that's why the next morning he announced me that the screen is blue. I've only found out later that these can cause problems by not connecting them back properly, so there's too late to complain about it now.

post straight on clear pictures of each board and one of the whole back, as to see how everything is connected.

I will certainly do that once I get home, thank you!

One thing, it appears that the pcb has a heating shield on it which has thermal paste on. The reason why I am mentioning this is because there are more capacitors under the heating shield but I am not sure if I should take that apart.

should probably do some voltage checking before removing anything.

easy stuff first, try a simple reset, with tv unplugged, hold power button on tv for 30 seconds, then plug it in and try it.

I have already did that last night just to tick this off the to do list. No success with that. One thing I have to mention, removing the white lvds cable , the long one, does nothing. But with it connected, when I switch through the tv channels I can see the screen light changing from dark blue to lighter. Which mean somehow thr pcb board is not sending enough signal to the display.

Already tried that, more than 60 seconds.

Yes , everything was cleaned with contact cleaner and put back together as normal to the lines.

don't waste money buying a main board, it's almost surely the panel, since you are not a tech and the fault is very difficult i suggest you to sell the whole thing as a defective unit.. bye..

I am not sure I want to sell it for £50 while I paid more than 10 times this price last year. I am sure there are specialists in here who might have encountered this kind of problem over the years and that might be able to help. Thanks for replying though.

you could check the little mlc caps on the panel driver boards for shorts or very low ohms.

Is this the right way to do it? Please check the picture
I know that if the caps beeps when I use the multimeter, in most occasions its a bad capacitor.
I also know that if I set the multimeter to 20k to check the ohms and the value is not going from 0 to higher, that's also a bad cap.
Correct / guide me if I am wrong please. Thanks

                                          Hi everyone,

I've got this Samsung here that would be stuck in a boot loop.
After opening up and doing the tape block method, I was able to get it to turn on and play sound from the HDMI input, but with a blue screen.

Does that mean there is another combination of pins that I need to block in order to get a picture, or is there something more serious, faulty mainboard or faulty panel?

                                          Thanks in advance

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
                                          by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.

Hi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...

The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...
