    Mobility Scooter PSU

    Hi All,

I have a neighbour with a scooter that wont charge, so I opened the PSU and found the main fuse blown and damage to the rear of the PCB, I de soldered the double coil device and checked both coils and both are not open circuit, I also noitced a bot of track damage. Can any one help me find the cause and what part is could be.

The coil I removed I took a close up picture of it under a wire.

    Thank you.

Usually when the fuse blows, the transistor on the "top" heatsink on your 20181011_150641_resized.jpg picture and the small SOIC 8-pin on the "bottom" of picture 20181011_150648_resized.jpg have fried. You should swap out C3 along with the other caps. You should also check that none of the other semiconductors have shorted, like the diode on the "bottom" heatsink and the crowbar near the output.
