Hi Guys, really need your help I have boardview files for a few macbooks now but I need this one, I have tried openboard view 9.95.0, I have downloaded two files from this thread... 820-02016_brv_sch and 820-02016_v1.3, but still comes up with a error when I click to open them, can someone please help as I am not great at all this software downloading etc, better at fixing

ASUS C433T dead, 5V 0.5A and 5v 0.1A
Hi Guys, Help.. have two of these dead, I now have a thermal camera I use on phones and tablets, But cant find any obvious heat or obviously damaged caps, trying to start to work on laptops MB at component level but not sure where to start. It is pulling 5V 0.5A with battery connected and even if battery is disconnected, I have found lots of caps around this IC that are shorted, but no heat is being detected by thermal camera. would really appreciate help, tips, even happy to pay for support.... -

Hi guys. Help! I have two of these C433T dead. Only pulling 5V and 0.5A and other one is 0.1A I have thermal camera but can't see anything get hot. One I am finding caps shorted around this IC. Hi, I have just used a PEAK Atlas ESR meter from a friend..
I get 165.8uf ESR 0.09 ohms.

Sorry for delay, I checked the B + rail both side in diode mode and got around 0.5v so replaced B + resistor and now get the red light, thank you all so much. But I want to replace the cap but have no idea on its value as there are no markings on it or near it and it is SC so cant check. Any ideas? or do you think it is OK to leave off?Leave a comment:

Hi
I removed what I suspect is a cap, if you look at the pic you will see a couple of empty pads just to the right of where it says PUZ00, right in middle of image. I have tested the suspect cap and it is short circuit, so I guess thats was the fault? I have found the B+ resistor on my mat so shall I replace that? would anyone know the value of that short circuit? as I might be able to recover one from a faulty phone or ipad.

If you look at the board in the orintation as in pic Piernov sent the short to ground is to the right hand side of that resisitor. I just removed the B + resistor and I have bloody lost it! hope I can replace with something else later I have just noticed a cap with a small bit of damage to the top of it so will remove that and see if short is there

Sorry just to clarify, I have put meter probe on ground and then other probe on each side of the B + resistor and I am getting a beep from the meter so I guess that implies a short to groundLeave a comment:

Hi, The two caps (I suspect they are caps) I highlighted in picture, I get 1.7 ohms. I am still not sure where the B+ resistor is as I am not sure where the charge ic AND mosfet are.Leave a comment:
