Teami Skincare Fridge TM10L power board goes kablooey

Turned it on. Green LED is on (set to cool), but the fan did not spin. Opened up the back, and found two blown capacitors. One blew up dramatically enough to remove the outer covering. Not sure if I can find that outer covering. I *think* the power board is the JWBX-12V5A-A (source: nbjianwei.com). She just wants to cool off her skincare products. If I were to buy an 12V AC adapter (Amazon has one by HKY), can I use it with this compromised power board?

If I need to repair this power board, how can I identify the specs of the nekkid capacitor? I can identify the one with the covering, but I am not sure whether the other one has the same specifications. If anything, they look similar physically. Not sure if other parts are also compromised (MOSFETs?).

If I want to replace this board entirely, will this JWBX-12V5A-A board suffice?

show the underside of the board to see if the 2 caps are connected together - if they are then they are probably identical.
then replace them with panasonic FR series, rated for 25v.
are the originals 25v or did the makers ride close to the limit with 16v parts?
also check the diode on the heatsink isnt shorted - incase it blew the caps

Looks like the 12V output of a power supply and 2 capacitors in parallel. Change both caps to 25V and 105C rated and you can increase the capacitance a little too as long as they fit inside.

I found them on another site. Looks like the board is a JWBX-12V5A-A

Oh no, server crash or something?

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                      Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

                      • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
                      • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

Need help with a wine fridge controller board.

This fridge was turning on, but wouldn't cool and the fans wouldn't spin in the back. Removed the back panel and found two controller boards and a power supply. The controller board at the top had burn marks under two heatsinked transistors (photo titled Top_Left). They said 13005D on them. I could not find those in America, so after a lot of googling and cross checking datasheets it looks like E13005 are replacments. Tested them with the diode setting and they both look good.

                      Put the board back...

                      Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....
